America walked down the busy and crowded fair. I pissed him off again he thought to himself, like always. All I ever seem to do is get him mad. America sighed. He was hopelessly lost. Since the world meeting was being held in Japan, America had issues blending in. He could somewhat manage doing it everywhere else, but he stood out like a candle in the dark. He was much taller and his hay colored hair and sky blue eyes didn’t help much ether. All he wanted in that moment was to disappear. I don’t want to be the hero! he screamed to himself, I want to be invisible! Alone! Just for an hour or two. America sniffed and loosened his bright red tie.
“A-America!?” he heard from in front of him. America looked up and saw himself face to face with... “Lichtenstein?” he asked in a small voice. Lichtenstein smiled. “H-hello, mister America!~” she said sweetly. America smiled. “Hey, Lilly! Were’s Switzy?” Lichtenstein shrugged. “He got distracted by one of the shooting video games.” she said causally, “May I walk with you?” America smiled. “Sure thing!~ I could use a spirit picker-upper.” Lichtenstein smiled and held on to America’s arm, like a little sibling would to an older one in a strange place.
America and the smaller nation walked around for a while. “America?” Lichtenstein asked, “Why do you look so sad?” America tensed. Is it really that noticeable? he wondered. “Yeah, actually.” he said, choosing to be honest with her, “I seem to piss off England whenever I talk to him and I don’t know what I need to do to make him understand that... that I don’t... hate... him... ya’ know?” America blushed and Lichtenstein giggled. “I understand.” she said softly, “He doesn’t hate you, though.” America nearly choked on a piece of Mochi that he had swiped from Japan. “W- WAAH?!” he exclaimed, causing for Lichtenstein to giggle again. “He’s just worried about you.” she explained, “He doesn’t know how to express how he feels towards you, so he just corrects you.” America coughed a few times before he could respond. “H-how do you know so much!?” he asked. Lichtenstein just smiled. “I’m a girl. I know a lot of things that boys are just not trained to notice.” America stopped coughing, but he was still red in the face.
After about half an hour, America spotted Switzerland and England. America knew, due to extensive research, that England would be compatible with every single nation and it was very unsettling when he saw England laughing and smiling with Switzerland. Lichtenstein squeezed America’s arm. “Ignore them.” she whispered, “Pretend you don’t see them and just talk to me normally.” America took a deep breath and started talking to the little girl normally.
{Change POV to England}
England glared across the way at America. What’s up with him? England thought to himself, He’s acting like he doesn’t even see me! England looked over at Switzerland and noticed that he was reaching for his gun. England grabbed Switzerland’s arm. “You don’t want to risk shooting Lilly, Vash.” he said. Switzerland kept his hand on his gun, but didn’t pull it out. “Fine,” he said, “But one wrong move on his end, and I’ll leave him with a few holes.” England felt his heart pounding in his ears. He watched America intently. He smiled so widely and laughed so freely. He looked almost like a kid again. England sighed and felt his face heating up. Why can’t he do that with me. he wondered. Switzerland was looking at him funny. “England, you’re all red...” he stated, “A-and what’s with that face!?” England shook his head and replied, “N-nothing.”
Switzerland looked curiously at the Brit and pulled him towards a bench. “England,” Switzerland said in a deadly serious tone, “What are your feelings towards America?” England flushed and stuttered, “W-W-WAAAAH!?” Switzerland rolled his eyes sighed. “I don’t want to get involved in your personal affairs, and I really don’t want to full America’s body with led if you love him. So spill.” England was shocked into silence. L-love? A-America? England blushed harder. Switzerland narrowed his eyes. “Fine,” he said, “You leave me with no other option.” Switzerland Leaned forward and kissed England’s cheek.
