Black and White

A clawed hand dug into her bare back. It snatched the hidden bone and extended it out. Blood trailed up it and laced out like floating veins, strings of flesh weaving between them.

The demon grinned. “A common angel.”   

Her back convulsed and five more wings sprouted. Two folded over her face, two over her legs. “No, demon. A Seraph.”

Author's Note: The Seraphim—Seraph is singular—are considered  the highest angelic class in Christianity. They serve as the caretakers of God's throne and always shout praises about how awesome God is. They have six wings:  two covering the face, two the feet, and the other two give flight. 

Thought it'd be cool to write about one. :P
