Wh...

Where am I?

Did I... fall down?

The child opened their eyes. Up above them they could see the faint outline of the sky. They looked around for a moment before a voice from behind made them jump.

"It sounds like it came from over here..."

They spun around to face the newcomer. He had long ears, the beginnings of small horns on his head, and a striped yellow and green sweater.

"Oh! You've fallen down, haven't you? Are you okay? Here, get up,"

The child took their hand and rose to a standing position.

"What's your name?"

"Chara," the child replied.

"Chara, huh? That's a nice name. My name is Asriel."

"... and I can show you my house; I've got tons of toys to play with. Oh! And my mom and dad would be delighted to meet you! Come on, it's just this way!"

As Chara and Asriel rounded the corner to the house, a woman came rushing out. Her appearance resembled Asriel's; long ears, small horns. However, rather than having a striped shirt, she wore a long, purple robe and a small crown atop her head. She rushed over to Asriel, enveloping him in a hug.

"Asriel! Where have you been? Your father and I have been worried sick!"

"Mom!" Asriel exclaimed, struggling to break free from his mother's hold. "I'm fine, jeez!" He pushed her away with a laugh.

"But where were you?" The woman asked.

"I went to the gold flower bed. And look who I found!" He pointed over to Chara, who was silently standing a few feet away. Toriel straightened.

"Greetings, small one," she said to Chara. "My name is Toriel. Where did you come from?"

"They fell down from the surface. I found them sitting on the flowers..."

As Asriel explained how he had found Chara, his father walked out of the house.

"Dad!" Asriel exclaimed, running to greet him. "What are you doing home so soon? I thought you were busy checking up on the CORE?"

Asriel's father chuckled. "The CORE is doing fine. It can do well without me while I check up on my favorite family. Howdy, Tori,"

"Hello, Asgore," Toriel replied warmly. Asriel grabbed Asgore's hand and dragged him over to Chara.

"Look, dad! I made a new friend!"

Asgore smiled down at Chara. "Howdy. You're... a human. Are you not?" He exchanged a glance with Toriel. Chara nodded slowly.

"They fell down from the surface. Do you think we could help them?" Asriel asked excitedly. "I could share my room! We could be like siblings!" He glanced around at his mother and father, who seemed to be having a silent conversation. After a few moments of silence, Asgore smiled down at Chara.

"Yes, I think that would be a wonderful idea."

"Chara, welcome to the family."

More chapters of my stories are coming soon I promise!

I'm just a lazy human with a busy schedule, if that makes any sense.

Anyway, this is just a short little story version of Chara's introduction to the Dreemurr family. It's hard doing a mostly dialogue short sometimes.
