*Maddie has been living with Kenzie for the past few months to help her with the pregnancy*
"Ouch!" I whisper, feeling a sharp, stabbing pain in my stomach.
"Maddie! Maddie!" I whisper to wake her up.
"Kenz go back to sleep it's 2:21 in the morning!" Maddie said with anger in her voice.
"I can't the baby is coming *winces in pain* and it hurts!" I say.
"It's ok Kenz I promise. Just take slow deep breaths. I'll take you to the hospital." Maddie said in a slow, soothing, soft and quiet voice.
*They are taken to a room and Mackenzie gets all settled in at the hospital*
M: Hey Kenz how are feeling?
K: Tired and in pain
M: You're doing great! When I had Gabrielle I couldn't stay calm like you are!
K: I just want this to be over!
M: I know you do but it will be over soon!
*A nurse walks in*
N=Nurse
N: Hello ladies how are we doing?
K: I'm fine just in a little pain *mackenzie winces in pain*
N: Are you her mom?
M: No I'm her sister. Our husbands died in the army a month ago.
N: Ok well Mackenzie you are 10 centimeters dilated so you can have your baby now! Are you ready?
K: *squeezes the life out of Maddie's hand* yes!
