The smell of coffee filled the house when I woke up. The space next to me was empty, but still warm. My feet were freezing against the tile flooring as I walked to the kitchen where the scent of coffee got stronger along with bacon and toast. My arms were folded across my chest as I neared around the corner to see Eddie over the stove with bacon sizzling beneath him. The sun seeping through the curtains made the muscle curvatures in his back look heavenly, along with the faded scratches. It also made his freckles shine like the stars on a clear night.

He looked over his shoulder to see me leaning against the wall, lip between my teeth as it formed into a smile the second his green eyes met mine.

"Good morning, Darling" He grinned before turning off the stove and placing the bacon down on a paper towel to absorb the fat.

"Good morning" I took my lip out of my teeth and walked over to Eddie, who was in the process of making me a coffee.

"You even know my coffee order?" I looked over at him as he put 3 sugars and 4 cream in the mug.

"What kind of man would I be if he didn't know how his girlfriend takes her coffee?" He handed me the mug and went back to the stove where he took out 2 plates and placed both 2 pieces of toast and 3 pieces of bacon on.

"Would you like strawberries and cream cheese on your toast?" He asked as I walked back to the coffee table right outside the kitchen.

"What kind of man would you be if you didn't know how your girlfriend likes her toast?" I chuckled from the table.

"A normal one" He raised his eyebrows and looked up at me with a snarky smile across his face.

With the two plates in his hands, Eddie walked to the kitchen and placed the dish in front of me. The sound of Frank Sinatra played throughout the house on vinyl and the sun was seeping through the curtains just enough to provide both me and Eddie light to see each other.

"How hungover are you?" I broke the silence between us.

"My head is pounding and I woke up vomiting. How did I not wake you up?"

"Deep sleeper, especially when I'm hungover" I chuckled and took another bite of toast.

"How hungover are you?" He mocked my sentence.

"Not too bad. Aussies know how to hold their liquor"
