Girl

Days, months, years, of fun times we shared with one another. The light you put in my eyes, the laughs, and the tears. I considered you a sister for so long, but once again I have to watch you fall apart. I watch with a broken heart; I had once said I would die for you. Yet here you are once again, the center of rumors, all I pray are lies. Here I am still that goody-two shoes, following the rules, being everything that disgusts you. Some things in life I know you will see as regrets, others you will be glad you did, but I hope one day you will still remember me. I hope that even though we have become two different people, that you can look back on the memories that we shared and laugh. I pray that through all your struggles you find a light, and a hope. But for me and you this is good bye, I'm no longer going to wait for you to change your mind and come back. I'm not going to be there when you fall apart, when you lose it and throw your head against the wall. Instead I will be the person waiting on the other side waiting for when you want to put the pieces back together, everyone deserves a second chance. But I'm not going to worry until that day comes, I will let God guide you to be where you need to be. Until that day, goodbye. Maybe someday, I'll see that old girl in you again.
