I scream.
"Alice, no!" Simon yells as he crouches down,
"A-ali" Kat, Jose, Ella and Skyler come running up beside me.
"No, no, no, no!" Lachlan yells as he throws his gun down and races forward to her.
I realize that I need to help.
"Rei and Catrina get the two back I need to check on Ali" I order as Rei nudges Simon to his feet and back while Catrina restrains Lachlan as he fights back.
I crouch down and feel for a heartbeat,
Thump, thump, thump
"She's still alive!" I cry happily.
"Ali why!?" Simon cries as he falls to his knees,
"Gwendelyn?" Ali says looking up at me,
"Shh, don't waste you're strength" I cry as Tobi rubs my back.
"I'm so sorry, I tried, I really did. But I'm sorry" She says as she coughs up blood onto the ground.
"No! Don't talk like that!" Simon begs as he cries,
"Ambulance is on their way, just hold on a little longer" Reigan and Jocelyn say as they run back, both crying.
"See? You-You'll be fine" Lachlan sniffles.
"Gwen? I-I took this from you're gun, replaced it w-with a f-f-fake. So you-ou wouldn't have to-to carry the bur-burden of killing someone. Th-Thank you, for everything"Ali smiles as she hands me one of my bullets from my gun.
"I love you Simon, make sure you m-move on. Lac-Lachlan I've always lo-loved you. Good-bye m-my friends" Her head falls back, limp.
Simon and Lachlan scream out in grief.
The sound of sirens in the distance could be heard,
Why.
I take a step back from my laptop,
Twirling the bullet on my necklace around my finger.
"Gwen, darling?" My fiance, Tobi walks into the room.
"I finished it, Tobi, I did it" I smile at him as I notice I'm crying,
"I'm sure if Ali where here with us right now, she'd be jumping up and down. This book is defiantly going to win the writers contest" He smiles as he places a kiss on my cheek.
"I hope it does, any word from Simon?" I ask,
"He's in Italy right now, just left Spain about 3 days ago. I'm happy for him"
"As am I" I smile at Tobi.
"Now, you need sleep." Tobi closes my laptop,
"We have a big day tomorrow, we gotta get up early for you're ultrasound. Gotta see how this little ones doing" Tobi smiles as he pats my belly,
"Sure thing honey, just one more thing though" I smile,
"What is it, love?"
"I love you."
