OK 1. Shading backwards in a sense: I've always worked with white paper, I've begun using different colors for backgrounds (with digital and that new paper I just got), and then I'll begin using black paper. This'll allow me to get shading & midtones (white paper), lights and darks (tanned paper), and lights and midtones (black paper). I'll try to do this with color as well.
2. More ethnicities: just downloaded an image some dude created of adding a bunch of people faces together form that ethnicity and then shows the features that were most common in all those ethnicities. Still sad that hey didn't elaborate more on the African side of things like they did with all the European countries and middle eastern countries.
