Just to start, I've never done a full on review of anything so I may skim over a few points. This is my review of Onimusha: Warlords. Just a note, I will be spoiling the game rotten so SPOILER WARNING!!

The Making:

Onimusha was originally spanned from an idea of a Resident Evil plot set in the Warring States of 1500 Japan for the ps1 in 2001. A year later the ps2 was released and the original idea for a Resident Evil styled 1500's Japan game was scrapped. A new idea stemmed from the original concept which has become what is known now as Onimusha: Warlords. The game has used real life Warlords of 1500's Japan like Nobunaga Oda and Tokichiro Kinoshita (more on them later). With that said, let's begin with the plot.

The Plot:

The story revolves around a fictional character known as Samanosuke Aketchi in his attempt to save Princess Yuki, but strange things have been happening at the Castle she is staying in with servants mysteriously disappearing underground. He goes to search for Yuki and finds her captured by 2 ninja like demons. He tries to fight them off but cannot properly kill them with as they heal easily. Yuki is safe but only for a short while as a big demon with a huge, spiked club, beats him to a wall. Samanosuke is presumed dead to the player but then receives a magic gauntlet by the Oni Clan to capture demon souls and is also bestowed strength to kill the demons.
