TNIAGB: Chapter 4 - Winning

Kalix' POV

Binalik ko sa ref ang tubig na kinuha ko at tingnan si Sandie Buenaflor na nakatayo parin sa tapat ng pintuan. Iminuwestra ko naman ang upuan sa gilid nya. "Maupo ka na muna."

"May klase pa kasi ako."

Tiningnan ko ang relo na suot ko. "Masyado pang maaga para pumasok." Tiningnan nya ako pero nag-iwas din naman agad ng tingin. Lumabas ako sa kusina at saka lumapit sa kanya. "I'm Kalix Pineda."

"Kilala kita."

Napangisi ako. "Oww, then you also know what I was capable of?" Hindi sya tumango, hindi rin sya gumalaw pero alam kong oo ang sagot nya.

"Kapatid ka pala ni Ciara." I mumbled while walking towards her place. She just stay still with his head bowed down not even bothering to glance at me.

"Oo."

"Sana naman yung uniform ng kapatid ko ay mabango na?" Nag-angat naman sya ng tingin. "Not that I'm saying that you have a bad smell but I know what happened yesterday."

"Oo mabango na to. Amoy Downy pa nga." I chuckled.

I step the distance between us and leaned down. I made our face even and then I whispered enough for her to hear me. "Good Sandie Buenaflor the weak girl." I can tell that she is not comfortable with our position right now as well as I am.

Inilihis ko ang mukha ko sa kanya at nilapit ang labi ko sa tenga nya. Naging mabigat ang bawat hiningang pinapakawalan nya. "Next time try to fight back nerd. You were just looking stupid in our eyes." Tinulak naman nya ako kaya napaatras ako ng kaunti.

Napatayo sya mula sa pagkakaupo at dinuruan ako. "How dare you to call me stupid?!" Sigaw nya.

Ngumiti ako sa kanya ng kaloloko. "Hindi ba?"

"Wala kang alam kaya wala kang karapatan para tawagin akong stupid." Pinilig ko ang ulo ko at tiningnan sya mula ulo hanggang paa. Mas maliit sya ng kaunti kumpara kay Ciara pero alam kong may tinatago rin ang nerd na to sa loob nya.

A badside maybe.

I raised both of my hands and chuckled again. "Woow, I'm so sorry for offending you Ms. Buenaflor."

"Jerk." She exclaimed before walking out the Mushroom House.

"Thanks for the uniform ha?" I said sarcastically to made her stop from walking. I saw her shoulder moved slowly and then she turned to face me. She smiled fakely and muttered. "Thank you."

I raised the corner of my lips then she leaved, slamming the door with all her strength telling me verbaly that she is really upset.

Minutes after the door opened again and Leo was the one who entered the House. "I saw Ciara's stepsister outside. She look's really mad."

"You do make fun of her?"

"Nerds are really cute when they are being bully."

"Yeah?" I was still standing infront of the big windows nailing my eyes at Sandie who's walking madly on the empty hallway.

Shifting my glance to Leo, I walked back towards the small bar counter and took some chips and one bottle of alcohol.

Leo followed me and sitted on the high chair. "Do you think she's cute?"

I took a big gulp from the glass. "You think?" I asked back. "Maybe."

"Hey Kalix." Bati ni River na nakaupo sa gilid. Lumapit ako sa kanya at saka inilabas ang yosi ko, saglit kong tinaktak yun at saka ko kinuha ang yosi na nasa labi nya at nakisindi.
