I was at home getting ready to leave for my family gathering. I was wearing something comfortable.

When I arrived at my Mom, and dad's house
I made sure I grabbed the paper towels and plates
As I walked along the cobble stone path way to the front door I could hear my mom talking to my grandmother.
Mom--
Mom- Hello sweetheart
Mom-soo..... You still work at that club ?
Me- where is dad?
"I said ignoring her question"
Mom- he's in a conversation with your Uncle charles
I hate my uncle charles.
My uncle Charles can't except the fact that my dad married a white woman and he has no problem showing it either. When I was little he used to call me a mutt and say me and my mom wasn't part of his family
I walked over to my dad
Me- Hey dad
Dad- Hey baby girl , whats wrong you look sad?
Me- Mom keeps bringing up where I work , when the last time I checked I was grown.
Dad- I know you are grown its just.... your mom wants the best for you , but you do know you don't have to have a job I'll give you money.
Me- I don't want to have to depend on you and moms money to keep me going.
Dad- I understand.
Dad- so baby girl is there any lucky guy I should know about ?
Me- uhh...no

Me- fine... He's this singer August Alsina
Dad- a singer ...make sure you bring him over one day when you guys start getting serious
Me- dad were just getting to know one another.
My dad wasn't really judgmental like my mom.
Dad- if you say so.... Have you talked to your brother because he was suppose to been here?
Me- no, I haven't spoken to him in two days
My brother lives in California
So we dont see him often
*Knock knock*
Everyones head turned
