Kingsley realised he would have to come to terms that his happy ending wasn't going to find him, and that he'd have to find it. So he pursed his his dreams to become a magizoologist and began searching for different creatures in all parts of the world, hoping that maybe he'd find his happy ending in the midst of it, because he was tired of making up excuses as to why it wasn't there.
So when he runs into Luna Lovegood in a rather creepy forest, looking for the same creature as he is, well it just has to be fate. And maybe just maybe he's found his happily ever after in the dreamy eyed Ravenclaw.
