my second mistake was letting her continue to harm herself. or perhaps it was lying to her brother when he came to me for help.
"finn, if she's hurting herself again you have to tell me," the young man pleaded.
"i don't know," he lied, knowing how angry she would have been with him if he had spoken the truth. "sorry."
the man sighed before turning on his heel and leaving. finn closed his eyes and let out a breath of relief.
i should have just told him. she would have forgiven me with time.
blood ran down her pale wrists and droplets splashed onto the sink. maggie looked at herself in the mirror, feeling disgusted with what she saw. tears rolled down her cheeks and landed on the sink, mixing with the blood.
