When I reach the stables, Thorn is already running around his pen. Thorn is my brother's horse but when he was killed the only person Thorn would allow to ride him was me. Thorn is deadly an I'm the only one who knows it. He protects me and will do what ever it take to keep me safe, just like he did for Monty.
When Thorn sees me he runs to the fence gate but stops in his tracks. I can hear rustling in the trees and I run to the gate. I hop over it and mount up. I can hear the footsteps getting closer and closer. Then a loud screech pierces the air. then i see him carrying a little girl. The only thing is that she's not injured and I can't tell what's going on with her. He comes over to me and Thorn is ready to pounce but I hold him back. The boy speaks " can you help her?" he mutters.
"What happened to her?" I ask.
"A poisons snake bit her while i was hunting and I found her." He replied.
"I'll get a horse from the stables for you two, it's a long ride to med bay." I say as Thorn begins to trot.
When I turn around I see concern in his eyes. 'Don't trust him' the voice in the back of my head says but for some reason I just cant listen to it.
