For those of you who only know the Disney version of Rapunzel, I'll let you know that this story is not based on that. My continuation is based on the Brothers Grimm version of Rapunzel. Here's a link to the Brothers Grimm version of Rapunzel if you wish to read it:

For those of you who do not want to read the original version and would rather just have a summary, I'll lay out the sequence of events for you;
1. A baker and his wife were pregnant with their first child. The wife had a lot of cravings and wanted rampion (weird vegetanble I know).
2. The husband steals rampion from a witch, he gets caught and offers his soon to be born child up to the witch so he doesn't get cursed.
3. Witch aka Mother Gothel, takes Rapunzel and puts her in a tower.
4. Years later a prince comes, and falls in love with Rapunzel (she also falls in love with him).
5. The witch discovers this, cuts off Rapunzel's hair, and sends her to a swamp or desert...I'm not exactly sure where just somewhere desolate.
6. The next day, the prince calls for Rapunzel to let her hair down, her hair falls. He climbs up to find the witch, who pushes him out of the tower to land in a pile of thorn bushes (ouch!) where he is blinded.
7. The prince wanders off and eventually finds Rapunzel somehow. Once she realizes he's blind she cries for him and her tears end up turning his eyes back to normal. Oh I forgot to mention that by the time he found her, she had also given birth to twins.
