Chapter 23 - Trying

I took my luggage and walked out from the airport. I went home early from LA and planned to surprise Archer. He said he's in his office so I decided to go there.

Being with Archer has been so great. He's so sweet and just unpredictably cute. He's just so wonderful. My friends never I will date one of the 7 Gold Lifes and my bully to be exact.

I mean Archer proved that he's really sorry and reallt guilty. He deserved my forgiveness. He kept showering me love even when we're not together. He sent me flowers to my hotel while I'm in LA. Crazy right?

As I arrived at his office , I met Aiden. He just got out from the lift.

"Hey Aiden!" I said and his face light up

"Hey Calla.. So what- wait. Aren't you suppose to be home tomorrow?" He asked and how did he know?

"How do you know?"

"That big guy kept blabbering.. Wanna go up?" He asked

"He's upstairs right?"

"Yup , working but currently laying down on his big sofa resting. Let me help you go up" We walked to the lift and he swiped his Gold Card and pressed Archer's floor

"Thanks!"

"Welcome.. He really need some energy" Aiden smirked and I chuckled. He walked away and I closed the door lift. It went up and stopped at Archer's floor. I walked out taking my luggage , I slowly tip toe to his office. I put my luggage outisde his door. I planned to knock when suddenly the door opened

Archer's eyes widen looking at me , he froze to be exact

"Calla?"

"Hi?" He pulled me into a hug immediately

"Oh my gosh , this feels so good" He said hugging me tightly

"Surprise?" I said in a really awkward tone

"Good thing you got home early , let's eat together" He took my hand and kissed the side of my head

"You haven't eat yet? It's 3 though" I said

"Yeah , let's go" We walked back to the lift and went down to the lobby. Archer helped me with my luggage and he put it on the back of his car

"How was your flight?" Archer asked and I put my seatbelt on

"Great , I slept all the way here" I said and he ruffled my hair

"What do you want to eat?" He asked

"You choose"

"Sushi?"

"I don't like sushi"

"You don't like it? What why?" He asked looking at me disbelief

"I don't like raw food" I said

"Let's go to the Hastington's hotel , I want to eat their salmon steak" He said

"That sounds yummy , let's go there" I said and he started to drive out from his office. He held my hand

"I never thought you will come home early" He said

"Well the meeting finished early so why not get home today?"

"You miss me a lot huh?" He said in a teasing tone and stare

"No"

"Well that explains why you came to my office first" He smirked

"You know the answer why bother ask smart ass?" I asked and he chuckled

"I want to hear it from your mouth sexy" He winked

"Nah.." I refused to do that. I love being in a relationship with Archer but I'm not ready to be open and to be so cling to him yet. My heart hasn't open fully for him yet. Slowly progressing..

"So can I have you all day today?"

"Archer I have to go home first see my family" I said and he nodded

"Right.. forget about that"

"So how's work today? Tiring?" I asked

"A little bit , I have to go to France in 2 days because there's something wrong with the deal there" He said

"Alone?"

"With my dad of course , maybe Aiden and Sky will come but I don't know"

"How long?"

"Depends" He said and I nodded

After 10 minutes drive , we got into the Hastington Hotel. We walked into the restaurant and sat near the window to see the outside view. Archer beside me , he put his hand on my waist

"Sit there" I pointed the chair across me

"I don't want to" He kissed my cheek and I turned to him

"It's weird to sit like this"

"I'll move there later when the food come babe" Archer smiled

"Archer" I called

"Hmm?" He raised his eyebrows

"Jason texted me yesterday" I said and his eyes narrowed to me

"What did he say?" Archer said in a really serious tone

"He heard the news about us dating , he said he's happy for me" I said

"Block his number" Archer said

"He won't message me again , I told him to get lost" I said and he smiled

"That's my girl" He gave me a peck on my lips

"Yeah"

"Why? Do you still have feelings for him?" Archer asked and I shook my head

"I mean he was the one who broke up with me. At that time , I did still have a little feelings for him but no anymore.. to be honest.. I'm still learning to be with you too. I'm not yet can give everything. I'm trying too" I said and he nodded

"That's a good thing , I mean look at you. You have a initiative to surprise me. It's a good thing"

"You kept showering with love and everything. Relationship is about give and take. You kept giving and I kept taking but I never give you something and I'm learning" I said and he smiled. He caressed my cheek and leaned to kiss me

"Thankyou for trying.." He smiled

"Shut up and kiss me" I said and he kissed me right away..
