In this episode we see that Caitlyn is starting to care a lot for Barry. We can see this by how angry she gets at him when he insists on being a hero. She gets angry because of how worried she is for his safety. Later in the episode after Barry she finds out that Barry has been blacking out she scolds him for not telling her. This is also when Cisco makes the comment. "I haven't seen her that angry since Ronnie."

In his episode Caitlyn gets kidnapped by Captain Cold and his partner Mick. They tell the flash to meet them in the street and fight them, which means letting everyone know that the flash is real. Caitlyn yells over them telling Barry not to come and save her.
While they have Caitlyn they try to get information out of her, but she tells them she won't tell them anything even if it means she would die. Mick goes to her and mentions that she must be very close to the flash to actually die for him.
Barry decides that he will fight Captain Cold and Mick if it means saving Caitlyn. Joe warned him that if he does everyone will know that the Flash really exists and that he's not just a story. Barry nods and says he knows that. After saving
Caitlyn in a deleted scene Caitlyn is talking with he group and talks about her experience. "When Ronnie died I didn't see the point of living anymore. And last night when I almost died...I though of you." She said looking directly at Barry who was standing right next to her. She then diverted her attention back to the other two. "All of you..." She continues then takes off her ring and says it's time to move on and looks at Barry again.
