It's finally here, the day I have been preparing for all this while, I have trained none stop for the past few days, running, restraining and lifting, all for the full moon tonight.
"What are we doing again?" I asked as Luke chained me down
"The Anchor test" Matt replied
"What's that?" I asked
"Sometimes when you shift, you need something to keep you in place, something to help you remain calm just like an anchor with a ship." Matt replied
"How do I find this... Anchor" I asked
"That depends on you, we all have different anchors, it could be a person, thing or place, as long as you can connect with it" Matt replied
"It's like your safe place, it could also be a memory, something that is valuable to you, that way you can guild yourself back when you lose control" Luke said
"Okay, but why did you chain me down" I asked
"Oh, well for you to be able to find your anchor, you need to not be yourself, so we are going to make you shift" Matt replied
My eyes opened wide as Matt approached me with a steaming red iron rod, beads of sweet dripped from my head as I braced myself for the pain.
"this might sting...alot" He said as he moved closer.
"Oh shit" I cursed, staring at the steaming iron......
"So my cousin, Justin is having a party tonight, you're all invited" Madison announced as we walked out of school
"Oh, sorry I can't make it... I have a family reunion I'm attending with my aunt" I lied
"Really, Again?" Andre said
"Sadly, yeah.. we love keeping in touch" I replied
"You guys will be there right!" Madison asked Andre and Kim
"Sure, why not" they replied.
"Here comes my ride" i said pointing to my aunt's car
"Have fun at the reunion" said Kim
"I highly doubt it will be any fun at all... But Thanks" I replied with a smile
"Call me" Kim smiled back as she walked away with Madison
"Definitely" I replied.
There's a 50% chance I'm going to kill someone tonight or get killed but at least things are going well between Kim and I, and if I can get through tonight, I'm asking her out for sure.
"You got that look in your eyes" Alice laughed as I approached her
"What look" I laughed
"That dreamy look, who's the human responsible for it" she teased
"No one" I blushed
"Now you're red" Alice laughed
"Oh my god!" I grunted
"Buckle up lover boy" Alice laughed as she starts the car.
