I have been planning to translate this story for a long time now, because I personally think this is one of my best Olikase stories. In advance, I have to add that updates could take a little longer because the translating and editing takes its time.

Have a nice day~!

A small boy sat quietly in the corner of the room, his head hanging. Around him lay several toys but he hadn't touched any of these. As apathetic as he was, not a single word has left his throat. Eating was out of question, either.

One of the adults watched over him, at least for a short period of time. She saw his sad expression and it almost tore her heart apart once more. Even so, she couldn't do anything. There was only one person the boy did talk to, and this person hadn't returned home for days.

The young woman washed up the last plates and sat down with a heavy sigh. The food ration was limited and only half of the month pass by already. Knowing she barely had an idea about anything of her situation, she hoped for a bit of support from the others.

In the past, she had been living in a wealthy household. She never had to do anything but now all of her abilities to run a household were of need. It seemed she made it work in these matters, but all her attempts to make the little boy speak up ended in a failure. They had allowed him to stay by their place, however, since then he didn't make a move nor did look up. In order to not have him starve to death, the woman had to feed him, causing her to fall in desperation several times by now.

Only if he was there, the little boy did as told. A peculiar kind of power held those two together.

A rustle echoed from the front door and the woman with the pastel pink hair looked up. Her body froze as she noticed the blonde hair in the entrance. A young man with tired eyes and dirtied clothing walked towards her. To the time she had still been wealthy, she would have never touched a family member like him out of vanity but now she ran to him and embraced him tightly. Tears of relief rolled down her cheeks as she sobbed happily.

"I'm so glad that you're fine."

The young man looked at her and embraced her only weakly.

"What happened?" The pink haired woman asked but her counterpart didn't even look into her eyes. There was nothing to say. That, what he had experienced, wasn't something to tell out loud and he also didn't feel like doing so. The situation they were living in was bad enough, he mustn't cause even more wounds.

"Where is he?" His voice was straightforward and he didn't move an inch. The woman flinched and pointed behind her to another room.

"There...where he always is."

With those words spoken, the blond left her in the hallway alone and made his way to the following room. His legs froze in their movement once he found the boy back in his usual place. As always, he hugged his knees and hid his head behind them. Carefully, the blond adolescent approached him and kneeled down.

"Hey," He whispered with a weak smile and his counterpart looked up shakily. With big and red swollen eyes, he tried to speak up now, with his lips trembling in nervousness.

"Where were you?"

"I'm sorry, I couldn't come back right away."

The small boy gulped and averted his face. A frown grew on his face.

"I was lonely."

The blonde boy stroke across the little boy's arm and tried to cheer him up, but it was of no use. The little boy wiped away his tears with the back of his hand and sniffed one last time.

"Where are mommy and daddy?"

The older one sighed and hung his head. He couldn't explain it the way it really was, knowing that his counterpart was too young for that. At the same time he didn't want to lie at him, for what reason he had decided - some time ago already - to tell the little boy what was going on. The bitter truth that destroyed their life from one day to another had been kept from him, but by each passing day, just hiding it wasn't an option.

He looked up and his once weak smile faded completely.

"I don't know. That's why you are here with us."

"Why don't you allow me to search for them?" The little boy flinched, yelling with a teary voice at this point. Tears formed in the eyes of the smaller one and the fear could be heard out easily.

"It's dangerous out there."

The young man looked out of the window and turned the smaller one's head to that direction as well. "A dangerous illness that changes the humans' behavior is out there. It's unclear what it is, that's why we have to hide."

The boy looked back at him and gulped nervously. He opened his out of curiosity sparkling eyes wider and bent his head.

"And when exactly can we go outside again?"

"I don't know."

After a moment of hesitance, the little boy grabbed the arm resting next to him with both his hands and lend his head against his shoulder. The adolescent looked at him in silent.

"Please don't ever leave me, Yohio."

The older one had to smile and ruffled that also blonde hair of the other one.

"Of course not, Oliver."
