carl hated arguing, only for the reason that he couldn't risk losing you. so when you two got into a heated argument over how he was too protective, he didn't know how to solve it. as an alternative solution, he walked away so he wouldn't slip up and yell at you.
"and where are you going?" you called after him.
"i'm walking away, i don't want to be in an argument." he replied casually.
