Nova, a boy with phobias

Poor little Nova,
A boy with hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia.

As well as hydrophobia,
Claustrophobia,
And at last, Atelophobia.

His parents where afraid of him,
Of him and his features
But I'm not sure what this phobia is called

But they took him away,
To the Institute For Helpless Children.
"We'll fix him up!" Cried surgeons, doctors and nurses.

And so they paid to take Nova away,
And to this day; he's waiting for them.
"When they come back for me, we'll play and have all sorts of fun."

And of course, when they return, they look at him and run.
Poor old Nova,
More ruined than before,
Had stayed by the door
For hours and some more.
He bought two balloons with all his money,
One for mom and another for dad.

They didn't seem at all glad.

And so they said to the mistress, "try again, try again!
We'll come back when our son looks normal again."
And I'm afraid, that they had only ruined him more.

So I'm afraid Nova will just stay there,
Waiting by the door,
Counting new phobias
'Till the clock strikes four.
