Sitting in the passenger seat of the old, rickety lorry always seemed awfully noisy and quite bumpy. Ashlyn loved looking out of the window, in amazement at all the things, which normally hid behind hedges, when walking or driving a car. She gazed admiringly at all the farms and country scenes, dreaming of how her life might be in the future.
Driving this rusted contraption was Harvey Crawford, the owner of the stables in which Ashlyn loved to help. For Ashlyn, this was a very special place. Spending time with horses and helping around the stables was what she had always enjoyed. Even though she didn't have enough experience, nor was she qualified to work with them properly didn't matter to her. She knew that it was her goal for the future, when the time was right. Harvey, being the owner meant that he often went out to see new horses and most often, he'd come back having bought it. Ashlyn was always delighted to be asked to tag along. She loved any horse, even if Harvey had no intention of buying it.
