Today is December 23rd and tomorrow is your village's Christmas Eve festival. You were in your father's restaurant on your day off from kitchen duty to work on the batch of gingerbread cookies for one of the festivals events. Your mother used to own the restaurant with your father and make the cookies with you every year but she died this year from an illness. You placed the batch in the oven and was about to leave the kitchen for a bit when your dad scurries about in a hurry getting meals ready.
You look at him with curiosity. "What's going on dad?"
"(Y/n)! I know it's your day off but I need your help with this order! Some crazy pirates came in with the most insane appetite I've ever seen!"
You looked at your dad with confusion while rushing to help him along with the other chefs. "Pirates come here all the time. What's the big deal?"
"Look at this order!" He shows you the list to see someone ordered over 100 orders of meat, but it didn't faze you.
"With an entire crew you would expect something like this."
"That's the worst part! There are only 3 of them!" You look at him with shock as you help him finish the order.
"3 people? I'm curious now." You walk out of the kitchen to the dining area and stop right by the entrance and find the loud group of pirates acting out in their own world. You spot a guy with a long nose talking about something proudly with an excited boy with a straw hat and an excited...reindeer?
You smile and walk over with the nervous waiters holding a tray of food to greet them. "Hello everyone, my name is (y/n). Thank you for coming today, who's the meat lover?"
"I AM! I'm Luffy, and I'm going to be the king of the pirates!" Luffy waved his arms in excitement with a fork and knife in hands.
You giggle at his excitement as you place the food in front of him while listening to everyone's introductions. They invited you to chat with
them and since it's your day off you didn't see the harm in it. "So, will you all be staying for the Christmas Eve Festival tomorrow?"
"Yea, Nami said we won't be leaving until Christmas Day so we can't wait for the festival!" Luffy says with excitement.
"What's there to do for the festival (y/n)?" Chopper asks
"There are a lot of fun things like music, tree lighting, games; my favorite's the guess that cookie contest!"
Usopp looks to you with curiosity. "Guess that cookie contest?"
"Yea, it's a game where you're blindfolded and you would have to eat a cookie to guess what kind it is. All the local restaurants donate a batch of different cookies for the contests, ours is no exception."
Chopper looks at you with excitement "That sounds like fun! Are there any cotton candy cookies?"
You give him an apologetic smile "Sorry Chopper, there are other good cookies though. My batch of gingerbread should be finished in the oven, you're welcome to try one if you want, but only one."
"Isn't that against the rules of the contest?" Usopp asks
"It's fine, the contest always lists out the type of cookies so there won't be a disadvantage. Besides, I made a lot so there should be enough after you guys have one."
"LET'S EAT!" Luffy yells in excitement while the others nod and say thanks. You walk over to the kitchen to get the batch out of the oven and place them on a plate when you head over back to them.
