Before we get into the contest details, we have some important news. We are welcoming a NEW judge on board! stringslady will be another judge for these contests, so make sure to tag her along with the other judges when you enter! Thank you!

Now, welcome back to our eighteenth contest!

This week's contest we are going to have a character requirement. (Trying something new!) You must somehow incorporate the character requirement below in your story and keep it to the word limit. The story can be about anything [CLEAN] so long as it has a character created from the requirement below. If you have any questions on how this works, please feel free to DM me (Ithildae) and I will be happy to help.

Character Prompt (requirement): [ They have the whole dark forest living inside them. ] NOTICE: This Prompt is vague and open-ended for a reason! Please, have fun with it and take it any way you'd like :) The more creative the better! Also, you don't have to include the prompt in the story, just use it to create a character in the story.

Suggested genre(s): Fantasy, modern, historical (Note: this is NOT a requirement, just idea for you)

Word Limit: Please keep your entry to no more than 4,000 words or we cannot accept it. Thank you! (Notice: if it is right over then that is okay)

Due date: April 30, 2017 (make sure we have commented on your entry by then, otherwise it means we have not received it and it will be disqualified)

Exceptions: (these are not tolerated in the story. If any of these are found in an entry it will be disqualified.)

•Nothing explicit, make it appropriate for a younger audience please
•Nudity
•Gay, lesbian, or homosexual content.
•Language/swearing

To enter:

1) TAG TWO PEOPLE in this chapter (not in your own book) who you think might be interested and comment that you are entering.

2) Write the story within the word limit and restrictions above.

3) Post it on your profile, on a new book, or within one of your pre existing books before the due date. (Whatever way works best for you)

4) Tag GadSul, stringslady, and I in the chapter somewhere so we can find your entry! (This is critical to remember because we WON'T be able to find your entry otherwise) If you don't know how to tag someone then please let me know and I'll help you. [ To tag: You tag using this symbol -> @ and place the username behind it. You can ONLY tag in the story if you are following that person. Otherwise you MUST comment the tags in the comment section of the entry. ]
