The 'Oka is right about Taro' theory:
Oka said in the rival introduction video that she thinks Taro may have casted a hex on her. My theory is that she's correct.
Taro has a very strong interest in black magic and hexes and stuff like that. He didn't join the occult club because he knew of their 'creepy' reputation. The book he is reading by the fountain is about hexes.
Curiosity got the best of him, and he wanted to find out if this stuff is actually real. He cashed a hex on a girl and waited for her to respond to it. The girl he chose was Ayano Aishi aka Yandere-chan. When he didn't see much change in her, he tried again on Osana. He kept trying, believing that the hexes weren't working (that explains most of the rivals).
On Hanako's week, she knows her brother has been casting hexes, and desperately wants him to stop ruining girl's lives after everything that happened to them. Under the tree, she will beg him to stop, and he will.
Megami knows all about the bad things that happened to the rivals, and wants to protect Taro. She's oblivious to the hexes Taro casted, and believed bad things were happening to the girls he got close to for no reason. Taro doesn't cast a hex on her after realising what bad things were happening to the girls he casted hexes on.
The only one who bad things didn't happen to was Ayano, the first girl he casted a hex on. She was like her mother on the inside, but Taro's curse unlocked the Yandere in her.
