Stein's POV
She pulled away and covered her mouth. I looked at her shocked. She jumped off my lap and ran down the hall. Of course I chased her. I got down the hall and slid in front of her door to be met with it closing. I tried the doorknob to find it locked. I gritted my teeth.
"(y/n) open the door please." I said.
The other side was silent. Her soul was there but she was drowning in her thoughts. Mostly thoughts of rejection.
"(y/n).. I'm not mad. Please... Open the door." I said.
I fell to my knees when I was met with a sick silence. I gulped and reached into my pocket to find a bobbypin. I pushed it into the doorknob and picked the lock. I stood and pushed the door open. I looked around the room that was converted from a study and to her room. Many of her drawings were along the walls and I smiled lightly. I turned when I heard something hit the floor. I turned to see (y/n), She looked at me and I walked over to her.
"Why did you run?" I asked.
She was silent still.
"(y/n) please talk to me." I said.
She sighed and nodded. She looked down and drew in a breath.
"I ran because for one. That was an accident." she said
She allowed her voice to bounce off the walls and smash into my ears.
"And two?" I asked.
"Two is. That you returned it." she said.
I let the words she just said bounce around in my head. I looked at her. She looked confused. I bit my lip as I fought the urge to run myself. Spirit could not have been right, could he? I gulped and was brought back to reality by (y/n) standing on her bed waving her hand in front of my face.
"Stein? Hello?" she asked.
I blinked.
"Hm? Oh. I spaced out did I not?" I asked.
She sat down and nodded. I sat with her and she leaned on my shoulder.
"Now what?" she asked.
I sighed and shook my head.
"For once I have no idea." I said and looked at her.
"The conversation that you and Spirit had this morning. That was what it was about wasn't it?" she asked.
Damn I forgot how smart she is.
"Yeah. It was. He saw it before I did." I said.
It grew silent before she said something.
"I should have asked earlier because I noticed how you blushed when I grabbed your hand earlier. And how Spirit kept looking at you." she said.
I put an arm over her shoulder and pulled her closer.
"So much for dinner huh?" I asked.
She smiled and nodded. She stood and I looked at her.
"Are you going to finish eating?" she asked.
I shrugged. "I really do not know. I think I may just go to bed." I said.
She nodded and I stood. I patted her head.
"I-.... I'm sorry." I said.
She looked up at me.
"What for?" she asked.
"I'm sorry if I freaked you out. About earlier I mean." I said
I rubbed the back of my neck awkwardly.
"I'm just as shocked as you are. You should have seen the look on your face when I told you." she said with a smirk.
I rolled my eyes.
"I'm very sorry that I was too busy being worried about you that I did not realize that I kissed you back." I said.
We stared at each other for a second before she pulled me to her level. I smirked and she kissed me again. I smirked and she pulled away.
"Do you know your actions now?" she asked.
I chuckled. "You may want to do it again so i am sure." I said.
"Go to bed." she said.
"What about a goodnight kiss?" I asked.
She sighed and thought for a moment. I watched as she pushed me over and we landed on her bed. She was on top of me and a few inches from my face. I blushed deeply and she smriked. She leaned down slowly and kissed me. I kissed back and soon enough. It started a make out session.
She pulled away and I blinked. "Is this it then?" I asked.
"Is what it?" she asked.
I sighed.
"Just a kiss here and there." I said.
She chuckled and laid on my chest.
"Does Steiny want to be something?" she asked.
I made a face at her.
"Yes..." I said.
She chuckled and kissed me again.
"I can live with that." she said.
I smiled and kissed her again. She smiled and I threw her to her bed and left. I walked to my room while I heard her chuckle. I closed the door and leaned on the wall. I Professor, Mad Scientist and Doctor. Franken Stein. Has a girlfriend.
