Chapter 12: "Reunited"

Okay guys before I start this chapter I would like to say, thank you so much for your support! Took me a while to conquer writer's block but here's another chapter. And just to clear things up, don't worry this isn't the end, I have more chapters coming for you. And even if this book does end (which will not happen soon) please know that there will be a sequel. I love you guys too much to let you down, thank you readers, for everything! Cheesy intro, I know, I'm sorry. Anyways, onto the story!

MONDAY MORNING
(I actually had to back read to know what day it was)

Marco's POV

I had quite the dream last night, I dreamt about gloassaryk dancing around and saying something but backwards.

"enogsiratS!!!!" I really can't understand him, enogsirats... what does that mean?

I got up and fixed my bed, I look at the time. "Huh, I woke up earlier than usual" I said to myself. My alarm clock read 4:45.

I took my time and I went downstairs to eat cereal, as I sit down by the table and eat my cereal, I noticed that our car was in the driveway. "Mom and Dad must be home from their trip to Hawaii" I continue eating my cereal. After I ate, I washed my plate then went back up, I took a shower for 10 minutes then afterwards, I wore my clothes. 5:00 a.m... I still have time to spare, I thought to myself.

I went into Star's room..

It was empty.

"Star? Are you here?" I looked through every closet, every floor, every cabinet, even under her bed but she wasn't there! Star where are you?!

I grabbed my bag and stormed out of my house. I tried to dial Star's phone but it only left a voicemail. "Star? Where are you? It's monday remember? Please call as soon as you can". I reached school, and as I was about to head to my classroom, I was interrupted by someone I wasn't hoping to see.

"Hey Marco, I'm really sorry about what happened last saturday, maybe I can make it up to you by having lunch with me later?" Jackie won't get out of my way, so I had no choice. I acted like I couldn't say no to her offer (HOWWWW CAN I SAY NO TO THIS?)

I sighed.

"Sure fine whatever!" I ran past her and rushed into my classroom. As I enter, the only thing I felt was expectation... the expectation that made me think that Star was there all along and not in the trash can like she was last week.

And there I saw...

An empty chair. My heart sank into my stomach, my eyes widened in shock.

How can she not be here?!

I thought as I was still looking for her inside the classroom.

STAR IS GONE!
HOW COULD I BE SO STUPID?!--

my thoughts were interrupted as I heard laughing

"MR. DIAZ! WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN ANOTHER CLASSROOM!?" Ms. Fleming- our art teacher- shouted. I was sanpped back into reality. "A-another c-classroom?"
I turn to see the sign that says: SECTION D

Ohhhhh...

I forgot.. I'm from section E.

"OMG Marco there you are! I've been looking everywhere for you! The bell rang 30 minutes ago, why are you here in D?" I was relieved as I see a blonde girl running towards me.

"STAR!" I hugged her tightly, "thank goodness you're here! You weren't in your room, where were you?!" I pulled away and held her by her shoulders.

"Oh uh, I stayed over Janna's house last night, sorry I didn't tell you, anyways, let's head to class!" She held my hand then we went inside our classroom.

AFTER CLASSES

"Oh uhm, Marco.. I'm going to join Daniel at lunch so I won't be able to sit with you and your friends" She said to me

"Oh.. that's..fine, I just remembered that I'm joining Jackie" I told her with confidence.. hoping she would get just a tad bit jealous

"Oh that's nice, I hope you ha-"
"Star c'mon!" Daniel said as she took Star's hand and dragged her out of the classroom

"Bye..." I said silently

I walked out the door alone and I see Jackie Lynn Thomas outside leaning back to a wall, with one foot against the wall as well.

Without any notice, she grabs my hand and intertwine our fingers. I.. didn't really care at this point...

I looked at her

Wow, I never noticed her freckles.. she looks cute with them..

Wait what?

Star's POV

As we walk to the cafeteria, Daniel kept trying to pull me closer to him but I try to keep my distance.

"What do you want to eat? My treat by the way" He smiled at me with cutest goofiest smile I've ever seen.

"No no, I don't want your money, I-"

"Please I insist-"

"No keep your money-"

"Please? Can't a gentleman treat his lady right?" He stared deep into my eyes

His Lady?

"Fine, but just this once" I sighed in defeat

"Great! Let's get a table first" He lead me to a table and I followed

"My lady" He said as he pulled a chair for me. I giggled a bit. "Are you always like this with girls?" I asked him.

"Apperently, I only act this way towards you maybe because you're the only girl I actually want to talk to in this school, and believe me.. you're the only girl that made me act this way from all of the ten schools I've been in" He smirked at me.

"Oh.. well jeez, I'm flattered" I take a seat.

"I'll be back with our foods" he told me then he left

As I was waiting for Daniel, I happen to notice two people from the stampede of students. Marco and Jackie.

Marco.. seems happy with her. That's good.. I guess.

Daniel came back with two trays, he gave me my food and he placed his

"Carbonara! How did you know my favorite earth food was carbonara?" My eyes sparkled

"Lucky guess" He smiled.

We ate our lunches and every minute, I can feel him stare at me.

"You got a little sauce there" He said as he wiped the sauce near my mouth with his thumb. His thumb brushed softly against my lips. "Thank you, good sir" I joked.

"No problem madame" he replied.

The bell eventually rang and we head back to our classes, he escorted me back to my classroom. At the door, I bid him my thank you's and also my goodbye's. I took a seat at my chair and listened to our teacher.

Throughout the whole class, I felt as if someone was staring at me, I look back and see Marco. I wave awkwardly and he waved back.

My mind seemed to drift off. I remember what happened last night.. last night was awkward.

And I was just joking when I said "yes", and I got caught up in the moment so that was the only thing I thought of! So like I said.. I was joking.

But... some jokes are half meant.. right?
