Chapter 1

Kristen's POV
I've been searching for hours on the internet trying to find an abandoned place to go near my house or at least in my town

There's this abandoned asylum which is literally 4 blocks away from me but I'm pretty sure I don't have the guts to go in there even if I bring my friends

"wait what's this" I murmured

Fredrick Miller High School (Abandoned spot in southern california)

what the heck, how come I've never heard of this abandoned school in my town?

I immediately called my best friend Jenny

"Hello?" She answered

"Hey Jenny what's up so I've been looking for an abandoned place that we could explore and I saw this Fredrick Miller High School that is surprisingly near your house" I said

"Yeah I know that one" Jenny said

"What'd you think?" I asked

"I don't know Kristen my dad always warns us to never go there because supposedly there are squatters who live there" Jenny worried

"Oh c'mon we'll bribe them" I laughed

"Okay but I'll bring Jake with me" Jenny agreed

"Lets meet outside your house m'kay?" I asked

"Sure, later gator!" She laughed

I'm so excited to be finally doing this, I've always wanted to explore an abandoned school but I never got around to doing it, I need to go now

I head downstairs quickly only to be caught by my mom

"Where are you going?" My mom asked

"Somewhere in neverland" I laughed

"It's 6 pm, no ones going out" Mom said in a very serious tone

"I'm going to Whole Foods to get some groceries"
I replied

"Well that's very odd since when did you become independent?" Mom asked

"Since....now" I said

"Okay just be back on 7 pm sharp" Mom said

"Nuff said" I replied

I get into my bike and rush to go to Jenny's house

after a good 8 minutes I finally get there

I see Jenny and her twin brother Jake outside there house

"Grab your bikes lets go" I said

They both grabbed their bikes and followed me

we finally reach the abandoned school it's a little bit spooky on the outside but I bet it's spookier on the inside, Jake opened the front door for me which is what I like about him he's such a gentleman unlike those junior jocks

"Jenny I think it would be more fun if we seperate ways" I suggested

"No what the heck are you-" Jenny said

"That's an awesome idea Kirsten!" Jake agreed with me

"You guys are crazy, I'm going out if that's the case" Jenny said clearly not pleased with my idea, I admit it's kind of dumb but it would be more fun if we discover things on our own

"Okay nevermind that was such a horrible idea anyway" I said even if I really wanted to try and explore alone

we went inside a what looked like a classroom, I'm trying to find for old books or pictures of this place

until suddenly I hear a voice of a guy and a bunch of footsteps coming on the right side of the building

"I told you Kristen there's still squatters living here" Jenny whined

"In 321 let's run yeah?" I asked

"Okay" Jake said

"3....2..." I counted

Until a guy who's around his early 20's peeked inside the room we're at and he looked like he could be a model

"I never knew squatters could be so hot" Jenny whispered to me

"Oh my god I didn't know there were people exploring with us" The tall blonde guy said

"Fuck I thought we were going to die" Jake said

We all got out the room and they introduced themselves to us

"Hi I'm Josh" The tall blonde boy said

"I'm Cody" the other boy said

"It's Steve" The asian boy said

"Is it your first time exploring?" Josh asked

"Ugh yeah" I answered

"Always keep the door open when your exploring to let people know someones inside, your lucky you didn't ran into horny drug addicts" Josh lectured us

"We promise to be more careful mister hottie guy" Jenny answered

I was surprised about Jenny's flirting skills I didn't taught her that

"Haha" Josh awkwardly laughed

we explored with them for a little bit and got to know them, I found out that they're youtubers and their channels are basically about exploring and going to abandoned places which is amazing, I barely even noticed the time but it's already 7:30 pm and my mom must've been worried like crazy on me

"Hey guys I need to go now actually" I tell everyone

"How come?" Steve asked

"My mom is going to kill me" I grinned

"Can I have your number?" Josh asked

Jenny gave me a look that best friends give when someone is asking them out, and I saw Jake rolling his eyes on the corner

"Of course it's 632-000-000" I said

"Sweet" Josh smiled

"I really gotta go now it was nice meeting you guys, bye, hope you get good footage for the vid" I waved goodbye

"It was nice meeting you too Kirsten!" Cody smiled

"Bye" Steve said

and I looked at Josh and he was smiling at me but he didn't say anything

As I walk out the door, Jenny and Jake followed me

"Hey twins see you in class" I laughed

we all got into our bikes and the twins went home and I went home
