josh was feeling rather jealous, he watched her from a distance at the nearby booth at his restaurant with her husband across from her as he could obviously tell they were flirting with each other.

his heart ached for her as he fiddled a menu between his fingers as he watched her do that loud laugh that made her sound like she couldn't breathe. soon a female server walked up next to him with the name tag 'gabriela', also looking a bit lovesick.

"you too?"

josh asked as the girl looked up to him, quickly pushing up her glasses. "yeah, i'm not even staying here forever. ohio is just so boring." gabriela sighed as she twirled a lock of hair between her fingers.

"if it's okay to ask, which one..?" josh was curious, well mostly happy because someone was in the same boat as him. "that guy infront if that dirty blonde girl...you?" gabby said pointing to where only josh could see.

josh bit his lip. "the dirty blonde girl.." he said realizing both were actually in the same dilemma completely. "you mean kate?" gabby said raising her eyebrows high as she realized kate also had an affair.

"you're talking about tyler right?" josh said crossing his burly arms to where she was able to see his tattoos that he was obviously hiding under his long sleeved dress shirt. the both of them nodded their head and soon silence came
over the two.

"i miss her." josh said softly as he rested his chin on his hand. gabby shrugged her shoulders along with shaking her head. "we have no chance, you realize that right?" gabby said partially negatively.

"i know but, it would be nice, she's so beautiful and i ju-"

"she's my best friend." gabby said flatly as she gave out a shaky breath. "i'm in love with my best friend's husband." she grabbed her waitress tray and turned on her heel as she walked off, her ponytail bouncing behind her. leaving josh alone to stare at the couple he was jealous of.

it was a cold spring day, 34°f to be exact. but surprisingly there was no wind which made the weather tolerable as it felt nice to him. he drove to the nearby max and erma's, a columbus restaurant, trying to get some food before the rush came of hungry buisness men.

he then saw kate walking, without tyler. he could feel his heart race as he soon jogged up to her. "kate! i haven't seen you in forever." he said, partially lying since he was just staring at her at the restaurant. kate soon whipped her head back to see josh smiling down at her.

"oh hey joshie." she felt rather tense which almost made her words messed up but it seemed to only make josh smile. "so how have you been?" he asked adjusting his jacket incase it got messed up and made him look bad, you never know.

"good, nothing special, how about you?" she asked him, her feelings for him were punching her in the chest like a hammer wanting to break a barrier. "ah same, i missed talking to you." he said giving a half-smile, he was trying to seem as calm as possible even though he was screaming in the inside.

"i did too." she admitted as their eyes locked. "w-would you like to join me at max and erma's?" he asked pointing at the restaurant his hands rather clammy even though it was cold out.

"i would love to." she said smiling as he guided her to the restaurant, he had a wide smile on his face due to the fact he now had a chance.

kate almost felt guilty at this point, her vows were to be with tyler no matter what. their wedding wasn't that cheap either a long with it, she couldn't believe herself. her tears at the ceremony almost seemed fake and her vows feel as if they were stolen off the internet because of her stupidity. she was just going to keep this meetup nice and simple, josh was just a extremely good friend.

she fiddled with her ring as they entered the restaurant, josh having a wide grin as they were guided by a waitress to their table. soon they were seated at a booth to where they faced each other. "how's the new job?" kate asked as she looked through the menu, her finger gliding across each entree.

"well it feels weird being a manager at applebees, but you just gotta get used to it at some point, no serving coffee though." he gave out a soft chuckle as kate grinned back at him. "i quit my job, it just didn't make me happy. they took all the credit for my work too." kate said rolling her eyes as josh frowned.

"do you have any like plan?" josh asked as he was slightly intrigued. "i'm going back to school, become a psychologist like my dad wanted to." she said putting a piece of hair behind her ear, she was surprised how calm josh was about all this.

"thats great, i wish i had that confidence." josh said giving out sigh as he scratched his cheek, his left arm had a tattoo poking that she'd never seen before. "did you get a new tattoo?" she asked grabbing his left arm and examining it. "yeah, it's a drum. i've always wanted to pursue them as a job." he said grinning.

she knew of the 'mom' and 'ohio' tattoo but the drum tattoo was new to her, she guessed he was going to do a sleeve of everything he loved.

"that's so cute josh, i want a tattoo soon." kate admitted as she looked up at him and smiled. soon her phone buzzed and she quickly grabbed it to see tyler was calling her.

"do you mind if i answer here? it shouldn't take long." kate asked so she wouldn't be rude.

"yeah yeah sure, don't worry." josh said waving his arms to say it's fine, almost feeling a bit jealous and wanting to say 'no'.

kate pressed answer and held the phone up to her ear. "hey babe!" she said grinning as josh did the opposite.

"oh i'm just with josh... yeah that coffee guy... no he doesn't work there anymore he's a manager at applebees.... he's just my friend ty... i know i love you too... see you at home...bye." the conversation was rather fast but josh always seemed to forget that kate thought of him only as a friend now.

but josh knew tyler had an affair too, even with kate's best friend. it just was becoming all tangled up but josh really needed to remember that marriage isn't something simple, hell
what if kate cheated on him too.

but yet he could imagine kate walking down the aisle at their wedding. her hair nicely curled and wearing a lace wedding dress with a long train. his hair in a nice yellow fluff with a brand new tuxedo that had matching yellow cufflinks. but best of all, kate would be his.
