A scratching noise awoke me I saw that it was coming from the window. I looked out to see a bat the size of a good sized house cat. it was the biggest bat that I had ever seen in my life. as soon as it saw me it said,"Let me in or you shall pay." It had beady red eyes. I was flabbergasted, because I had no idea that animals could talk in real life. it was unnatural; unreal. I couldn't believe it. I had to be dreaming; there was just no way. then I remembered what Scrooge had said in "A Christmas Carol," that this could just be a bit of food unsettled in my stomach... nothing more... but it all seemed way too real. then the world began to grow foggy with everything swaying to and fro. JUST THEN THE WINDOW SMASHES OPEN WITH THE ENORMOUS BAT BITING DOWN ON MY NECK
