Extra: Inquisitorial Rites
Though in the modern day none of the Inquisition are permitted to employ magic, there were in the early days of the Holy Empire several rites and accompanying rituals developed by the Junnites which employed an amalgamation of human and Enkiri magic. Records of these rites and rituals are reprinted in the Book of Shields, compiled by Saint Dataran of Sennca, and have been a part of the basic training of Inquisitors since the Inquisition's founding in Imperial Year 1035.

Recently a classified commission of senior Inquisitors and specially ordained magic-users from outside the Empire proper have restarted the research left unfinished by Saint Dataran, the balance of which was sealed upon his murder within the Reliquary of the Abyss on Isle Dae. This commission was put together in secret by the Ordained Father in an effort to formulate a more concise and powerful set of rites for exorcism and spiritual release, but most importantly to create more efficient ways of discovering individuals who may be possessed or using a stripped soul  to fuel their spellcasting. His Holiness has not yet given a reason for this decision nor is He obliged to; however, their work has continued on unhindered and relatively unknown for the past two decades.

Rite of Spiritual Release
Used mainly in the dismantling of killing fields. Also spoken over the graves of the unfortunate who may have been the subjects of espiri soul-stripping magics.

Saor in seo animae Deireadh profanis.
"Release this soul from its profane fate."

Rite of Exorcism (abbreviated)
Used in conjunction with a talisman, normally a Circle of Junan, in the exorcism of those possessed by the spirit of an espiri witch, or in divesting an espiri witch of souls they may have enslaved to their own soul to fuel their spellcasting. The full Rite of Exorcism is rarely used save in ceremonial cases as it takes even a fast-talking Inquisitor almost ten minutes to recite.

Veni, fuil pravis.
Tarlaigh, spiritus evictus.
Per gratiam autem beatha fhuascail.
Ex croi remittatur peccatum.
Parte farriaghe hoc signum.
Haec paidir levant anima.

Veni, spiritus pravis.
Tarlaigh, fuil copulam.
Per síochána eagla ghlac.
Ex voluntate Junan aithrighea.
Parte caeli hoc signum.
Haec ritu scaoilea anima.

(translation)

Come, blood corrupted.
Come, spirit subjugated.
By the grace of life redeemed.
By the heart of sin forgiven.
May this symbol part the sea.
May this prayer uplift the soul.

Come, spirit corrupted.
Come, by blood bound.
By the peace of fear accepted.
By the will of Junan repentant.
May this symbol part the heavens.
May this rite release the soul.
