Part 4 - 'It's too late to apologise'

Raeleigh's POV

What is going on with Richard? He is acting really different around me...

Doesn't he love me anymore?

Suddenly, I felt some warm, soft arms wrap around my waist from behind and I knew it was Richard. I turned around and smiled at him, he knowingly knew something was wrong.

"What's wrong baby?" He asked me.

"You're acting really differently around me. Did I do something wrong to you...?" Curiously, I said.

He shook his head and walked off. Now I knew he was trying to hide something.

I noticed him pulling his iPhone 4s out of his pocket and typing on it. I sneaked up behind him and grabbed his phone off him halfway through him texting whoever it was he was texting.

I read through the text, realising it was about me. The name it was being sent to was 'Sapphire.'

"Isn't Sapphire your ex?" I asked him, holding up his phone. He put his head in his hands and tried snatching the phone off of me. I threw the phone on the floor and the screen cracked.

Richard looked down at his phone, tearing up. It serves him right for cheating on me, or at least texting other girls.

"That's why I didn't want to tell you because I knew you'd just overreact!!" He yelled at me.

"Overreact?!" I yelled back, gobsmacked that he said that to me.

"Just get out of my house, Raeleigh!!!" He cried.

I now feel bad for smashing up his new(ish) iPhone. I tried to apologise but he just shoved me off ignoring me so I walked out the house unaware where to go.

Sapphire's POV

I watched TV for about two hours, until my phone vibrated in my pyjama pocket. It was Richard. I immediately stopped what I was doin to read it.

R: Raeleigh just smashed up my phone so I'm using my spare one. God, she's so annoying sometimes. Meet me in the park in 20 mins. Dress comfortably and wear a jacket! We need to talk! x

S: Yeah alright. C u later!x

I had a quick ten minute shower, kept my hair natural but just washed and brushed it and got dressed into some comfy skinny jeans, a tank top with 'Love Sick' written on it with a heart below it and a zip hoodie which I zipped halfway up. Then, I brushed my teeth and drove to the park to meet Richard and sat on the swings waiting for him.

He soon walked over with his hands in his jean pockets and he was also wearing a zip hoodie like mine, apart from his was red and mine was blue.

Just my luck, it began to rain. I put my hood up on my hoodie and the swings were now creaking and screeching. Richard jogged over and held my cold hands gently. I stood up off of the swing and leaned in to kiss him but for some reason, he objected and put my hood down before kissing me gently.

We pulled away after five or so minutes and the rain had finally stopped.

"Sapphire, we need to talk..." He began.

"...About us... I can't keep lying to Raeleigh about not cheating on you. Last night, me and you even slept together and I'm not even with you. I love Raeleigh... And I think I always will. So I'm sorry Sapphire but I'm not going to be seeing you like this again. We can be friends, keep texting and whatever but I don't like the idea of cheating, I'm sorry." He told me.
