I was once this perfect picture
This clear image of innocense
But you've touched every inch of my skin
And snaked your tongue in my mouth,
Tasting what I thought
Should have been reserved
For someone I loved
And someone who loved me
Truly and whole-heartedly.
I didnt know what it was
And at that moment
I didnt know who you were
I couldnt get a hold of the man
I thought I knew
You used to be this respectful man
Who opened doors
And poured me some water
A man who always asked if I was okay
But at that moment,
I dont think "man" is even the right term
You were selfish and tried to manipulate me
Into thinking that I wanted everything
Everything you did to me
I, who you violated
Who you used,
Am different.
Because of you.
