She hates Valentine’s Day.

It’s the day where all of her friends go out with their boyfriends and leave her all alone on the apartment, watching crappy romantic comedy movies and eating a tub of leftover ice cream. It sucks.

Even her best friend whom she secretly harbors a crush on had a girlfriend to share a romantic night with. She groans.

Someone rings the doorbell. She frowns and makes her way to the door. It’s her best friend.

“I heard it’s ‘Singles’ Night’.”

“What?” she asked, stunned.

“Just got dumped,” he smiles as if he’s so happy about it.
