"Dad wants to talk to you" Malik says coming in the room.
I took the phone "Sir" I said softly as I wipe my tears. Nana stayed quiet.
"Why are the cops calling me telling me that I have to come in for questioning when I get back"
"I don't know, sir. I swear" I said.
"What did you do"
"Nothing sir, I've just been in bed watching tv"
"I'll find out for myself" he says and hung up.
"The cops called him telling him he needs to come in for questioning when he gets back" I hand Malik back his phone.
"What happened"
"I really don't know"
"Are you in trouble" Nana asked.
"I hope not" I mumbled cuddling with her.
Kelsey was at work, Nana and I always cuddle, it used to be Nana, Hanna and I and Kelsey sat on the couch.
"I'll see" he says and walks out.
"Did you tell your mom something" I asked.
"I told her it's just some troubles at home. She said she seen a bruise on you and I walked away"
"Fuck" I said.
"You need to tell someone please Kayla"
"I'm not ready" I said softly. "Ready for the beating when it doesn't work"
"Start off by telling our parents and they can help you"

"Do y'all want to go get lunch, I told the chef he doesn't have to stop by"

"Alright hurry because I have to pick up my girl"
We got up and put on lazy but still presentable to go out clothes.
Soon we get in the car and Nana and I get the back seat so they can have the front. We get to her house and she came out the same way we did.
We laugh and my phone rang as she got in. "Hey Y'all" she smiled as she closed the door and they kissed.
"Okay nasties" Nana says.
"Where your man at Na" Malik asked her as he speed off.
"Up your ass" she says.
"Damn, sounds good" he says.
We laugh "Baby" Kelsey says.
"Sorry baby, hey" I said.
"Where you at" she asked.
"We're going out for lunch right now, you off"
"Yeah"
"You going to meet us, same spot"

"You sound tired"
"It was a busy day" she says.
