Chapter 18: Life Long Enemy!

Flashback!
     Lizzie smiled as she looked at her fiancée in their bed at her castle. They just got engaged yesterday, and she is beyond happy. He is still sleeping and she's just watching him as he had his arm around her waist, and they were close to one another, just how she likes it. "Why are you starring at me?" Daring asked with a smirk as his eyes were still closed. Lizzie laughed. "How long have you been awake?" Lizzie asked. "Long enough." Daring replied as he opened his eyes and looked at beautiful she was. There was a moment of silence as they just starred at each other in the eyes. "You're beautiful." Daring stated. "No, I look awful in the morning." Lizzie replied as sighed. "You're always beautiful." Daring stated and Lizzie smiled and blushed. She placed a soft kiss on her lips. She stood up and put on her red robe that had a heart on it. She walked into the restroom as Daring rolled onto his back as he sighed.
     There was a knock on the door and the doorknob turned, but it was locked. There was some more knocking, buy it was more pounding then knocking. "Elizabeth!" Ms. Hearts called. Daring got up and put on his blue robe. He answered the door and the Queen sighed when she saw him. "Where's my daughter?" Ms. Hearts asked. "Restroom." Daring replied and she rolled her eyes. Then Lizzie walked out of the restroom with her hair braided. "Mom? What's wrong?" Lizzie asked as she got in front of her fiancé. "It's Courtly Jester.... She escaped the castle dungeons." Ms. Hearts replied and Lizzie gasped as her eyes widened.

Real World!
     "Lily?" Charlotte asked, snapping her out of her thoughts. She looked yo at her roommate. "Yeah? Did you say something?" Lily asked as she held her cup off coffee in her hands. "Yeah, Madison will be here soon." Charlotte replied and Lily nodded as she stood up. "Okay." Lily agreed and she drank the last of her coffee. She put the cup down and picked up her jacket and put it on. "Lils." Charlotte stated as the black haired girl with red streaks put her gun on her belt and put her badge in her purse. "Yeah?" Lily asked. "Are you okay?" Charlotte asked and Lily looked up to meet her eyes. "I'm fine." Lily replied and Charlotte nodded. "You seemed deep in thought." Charlotte stated and Lily sighed. "It's nothing." Lily stated. "You haven't been here too long, but I already know that you were alone, didn't have anyone. You probably shut your heart off, kept your emotions hidden. You didn't want to get hurt, like you have been your whole life. But you don't have to stay shut off from the world anymore, you're not alone.... Anymore. We're your friends, and we care about you. We just want to help." Charlotte explained. "We'll, maybe you can't." Lily snapped and Charlotte stepped back in shock as Lily sighed. "I'm sorry." Charlotte apologized as there was a knock on the door. "Don't be. We have to go, Madison's here." Lily stated as she grabbed her purse and headed out. Charlotte sighed as she grabbed her purse and followed too.
     Lily walked into Madness Bed and Breakfast to eat lunch. She went up the counter. "Your usual?" Madison's dad asked and she nodded. "Yeah." Lily replied and he walked back to make it. Charlotte and the rest of the gang were there. Charlotte walked over yo her and sat on the stool next to her. "Hey." Charlotte greeted. "Hi." Lily greeted. "How are you?" Charlotte asked. "Good." Lily replied she Charlotte nodded. There was a moment of silence as they both sighed. "I'm really sorry about earlier." Charlotte apologized. "I'm sorry too, I shouldn't of snapped like that." Lily apologized and Charlotte shook her head. "No, I kind of deserved it. Charlotte stated and Lily shook her head. "No, you were just trying to help me." Lily stated. "I shouldn't have pushed, though." Charlotte stated and Lily laughed as did Charlotte. "Yeah." Lily agreed. "So, are we good?" Charlotte asked and Lily nodded with a smile. "Yeah, we're good." Lily agreed and they hugged. "You want to eat lunch with us?" Charlotte asked as they pulled away and as Madison's dad gave Lily her lunch. "Sure." Lily replied as she grabbed it and followed her friend to the table with her other friends.

Flashback!
     Lizzie sat at the lake of magical colors. Courtly did a lot of stuff to Lizzie and her friends when they went there in High School by one of Raven's spells. That was the first time Courtly went after them, except Lizzie, she always went after the princess of hearts. When they were young, Lizzie would always try to be nice and make friends, but people would run off scared. Courtly decided to have some fun with it and told everyone that she was planning to curse everyone, making it worst. Courtly kept doing stuff like that. That all took place before Lizzie's friends became her friends, they use to fear her to. Lizzie would get angry and yell and threaten people, like her mother. "I thought I'd find you here." A familiar voice stated as Lizzie sighed. "Courtly Jester." Lizzie stated as she stood up. Lizzie turned around to face her nemesis. "Hello, old friend." Courtly stated with a smirk. "We're not friends. We have never been friends, and we never will be." Lizzie stated and Courtly nodded. "Good, cause friends just slow you down." Courtly stated. "What do you want?" Lizzie asked. "I want what I've always wanted. Your crown, and you out of the way." Courtly replied and Lizzie sighed and rolled her eyes. "We'll, you're not getting what you want. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever." Lizzie stated and Courtly chuckled. "We'll see about that." Courtly stated. Courtly ran over to her and punched her as she ducked. Then they started fighting.
