Chapter 1

Riko's life changed one day

*When she got home from the supermarket *

Riko: tadaima! Papa

Papa: okairi Riko!

When she gave her father a comeback hug she felt there was something wrong but she ignored it . She looked for her mother but she couldn't find her. When she was going upstairs she heard a sound coming from her mothers bedroom.and there she was on the ground unconscious.

Riko : MAMA !!!! Papa come quick !

Papa: what's wrong Riko ? When he saw his wife on the ground his face grew pale and said Riko what happened to her ?

Riko : I don't know when I was going upstairs I heard a thud coming from her bedroom and there she was , * tears streamed down her face* what are we going to do ?

Papa : don't worry we are going to bring her to the hospital * he hugged Riko* it is not your fault she is going to be alright, I hope

* they raced to the hospital and brought her to the first aid * when they waited outside the room *

Riko : papa how could this happen ? This never happend before and I don't want to lose her

Papa : don't be silly she will be alright

Riko : I need some fresh air I will be right back okay ?

Papa : okay be safe

Riko was going to the rooftop of the hospital and she was sitting against the wall and started crying , and asked herself how this she could happen she screamed : MAMA !!!!!!!! DOUSHITE !!! (why) after a couple of minutes she walked back to the room where her mother is and the door was open she thought * it could only mean one thing *

Riko : MAMA !!!!!! * she hugged her *

Mama : Riko sweetheart * she hugged back and kissed her forehead *

Riko : how do you feel ?

Mama : I am feeling okay now but the doctor has some bad news to tell you

Doctor: that's right very bad news

Riko : what is the bad news ?

Doctor : your mother has cancer and doesn't have much time to live anymore

Riko : WHAT !!!!! how is that possible this can't be * falling to her knees crying * how long does she has to live ?

Doctor : a half year or maybe longer because of the medicines

Riko : I can't take this * ran out of the room crying *

She ran to the rooftop and Riko cried her eyes out until she heard a boy asking what was wrong

Riko : leave me alone!

Boy : if there is wrong you can tell me

riko turned around and saw the boy he has dark blue hair and has a age like 17 or 18 and in a wheelchair

Riko : who are you ?

Boy : I am tsurugi yuuchi and you are ?

Riko : I am Riko nice to meet you yuuchi- senpai

Yuuchi : nice to meet you to but what were you crying about ?

Riko told the whole story about her mother fainting and that she has cancer and that she has only a halve year to live . She felt safe around him like she can tell him everything

Yuuchi: that is terrible but you have to be there for her and cherish every moment you have with her

Riko : you're right thanks for hearing me out and for talking to me yuuchi-senpai , but why are you in a weelchair?

Yuuchi : I would like to tell about that but you have to go back they must be worried about you

Riko : you're right can I visit you sometimes ?

Yuuchi : sure don't push yourself okay ?

Riko : I won't thanks again !

*Riko walked back to her mothers room * and knocked on the door , a voice said come in

Riko : mama,papa I am very sorry for running away like that

Papa : don't worry

Mama : don't make us so worried again !

Riko : I am sorry mama I love you both so much !

Papa : time for a group hug

*And the three hugged each other like there was no tomorrow *

Mama : Riko I know I don't have long but don't grow distant from others you have to make new friends on raimon junior high
And next to that I want to tell you....

*she took riko her hands into her own*

Riko looked up with teary eyes

'Please follow your dreams and be yourself okay can you promise me...be who you want to be and let your heart guide you'

Riko : Mama I...

She fought with all her might against the tears that were threatening to fall but she stayed strong for her moms sake

Riko gave her moms hands a little squeeze and said 'I will mom I definitely will you know how I feel about music and the making of it'

Her mom nodded at her proudly
'Riko you have so much talent and you can still develop so much trust me there is a bright future waiting for you'

When she heard the word future she couldn't help but feel sad
Cause she won't have a future with her mom in it. But she did decide on one thing, she will make her mom proud of her no matter what

'Mom I will try to cherish our moments as much as I can'

She nodded at me

'I know dear but please don't let this hold you back okay my baby'

I hesitantly nodded

Mama : that's my daughter
