Stop Lying To Me

**Beth**

When I woke up , it was late in the morning .
"Morning sleepy head ," Lia said .
"Morning Lia ," I said.
"I'm not Lia ," Lia said .
"What ?" I said as I opened my eyes fully now. 
"Ohh sorry , morning Alex ," I said.
"You woke up late ," Alex said.
"Yeah ," I said as I sat up bed .

"Why ?" He asked.
"We were talking until late last night ," I said as I lied .
"Don't lie to me  ," He said as he came closer to me and I climbed out of bed.
"I am not ,' I said as I lied to him again .
"Beth , I know you . You are lying to me ," He said.
"Do you really think you know me ?" I said softly as I moved to where Alex once was.

Alex turned around and said ," I brought you some clothes and what is that suppose to mean ".
"Nothing ," I said as I took my clothes he brought for me with me to the bathroom .
"Beth ," He said.
"It meant nothing Alex . Just like my feelings ," I said as I mumbled the last part and closed the door .

I leaned on the door and took a deep breath .
I thought about what Lia said last night .
Why did I get so mad ?
Am I jealous ?
That was the reason why I woke late this morning .
I brushed my teeth and took a shower .
When I was done , I opened the door and there Alex stood standing in front of me

"Alex don't do that . You scared me ," I said as I went past him and near to the bed and packed my stuff .
"Just returning the favor to what you did last night ," He said .
"Me leaving made you scared ," I said .
"Yeah . You left in an angry way and I thought you would hate me forever ," He said .

"Well I don't ," I said as I went out of Lia's room .
"Beth ," Alex said.
"Leave me alone Alex ," I said as I walked in the direction of our room .
When I got there , Anna was here .
Alex came through the door and said ," I am sorry , okay ".
"Hey ," Anna said .
"Hi ," I said.
"Look Beth , I am so sorry about last night . Alex feels terrible about it  ," I said.

"Its okay ," I said.
"So you're willing to forgive her but not me ," He said.
I put my stuff away and went out the room leaving Alex hanging .
"Beth ," He said from the room door.
I didn't answer him . I just kept on walking .
I went to a cafe that was on the boat and ordered a milkshake

When I got it , I sat there sad and drank it but soon Alex came .

"Beth ,"He said as he sat down .
"Leave me alone Alex ," I said as I wanted to get up but he grabbed my hand .
I looked at it and pulled away my hand .
"Now , something is bothering you ," Alex said .
"No ," I said as I wanted to get up again .
"Beth ," I said .
"Leave me alone Alex ," I said. 

"Tell me ," Alex said .
"No ," I said .
"So there is something bothering you ," He said.
"No ," I said not so confidently .
"Tell me ," I said .
"No ," I said as I got up and left. 

**Alex**

While I was at the basketball court , Anna came .
"Hey ," Anna said .
" Hi ," I said .
"You found Beth ?" She asked .
"Yeah . I found out that something is bothering her  ," I said.
"What is it ?" She asked.
"I don't know ," I said .
"She didn't tell you ?" She asked.

"She doesn't want to tell me ," I said .
"Ohh ," She said .
"Yeah ," I said.
"Well , why don't you invite her to come with us to  ziplining ," She said .
"Its hard to get a word out but a whole sentence is much harder ," I said .
"Just try ," She said as she came closer to me and kissed me and took the ball and shot it into the hoops  .

"Bye ," She said.
"Bye ," I said as she walked away . 

**Beth**

I was in my room when I heard the room door open and close .
I saw that it was Alex .
"Hey ," He said as he came behind me .
I turned around and he touched my face .
I pushed him away and  walked to my bed and sat down
"Sorry ," He said as came to the bed were I was. 

"What do you want Alex ?" I asked .
"Anna invited you to come with us to ziplining ," He said .
"Ohh , sure ," I said .
Before he left , he said ," You can tell me what is bothering you anytime ".
"I think that is for the both us by what you did before ," I said avoiding his eyes.

Then he left. I got ready to go ziplining to with them a few hours later .
I went down to the place that they said they will be but they weren't .
While I was putting on the gear for ziplining , Anna and Alex came .

 "Hey ," Alex said .
"Hey ," Anna said. 
"Hi , ready ?" I asked them .
"In a minute ," Alex said.
When they were ready , we all went together .
When we reached the other side , we took off our gear and gave it to the people who gave it to us .
"That was fun ," Anna said .
"Yeah ," I said and Alex agreed .

We walked around and enjoyed nature that surrounded us .
We took a couple of pictures and then continued walking.
"So , I thought it was good idea if Beth came so that you two can talk things out ," Anna said .
"Anna ," Alex said .
"No , talk things out ," Anna said as she walked away from us .

"So , lets talk ," I said .
"What is bothering you ," I said .
"Noth-
I cut him off and said ," Don't lie to me ".
"Then you don't lie to me ," Alex said .
"I am not ," I said .
"Yes you are ," Alex said .
"No ," I said .
"Beth ," Alex said .
"Alex ," I said .

"Nothing is bothering me ," I said.
"I can see you're lying to me ," Alex said .
I didn't say anything . I just walked away .
