I never went to sleep. It was hours before Ana woke up. I kept wondering how I would give her the bad news. I heard her yawn and I turned my attention towards her. "Josh....my head hurts." Ana said. "Don't move as much. Your still a little messed up from that last fight." I said. She looked around. "Fight...where are the others?" Ana asked. I couldn't even say a word. Just the thought of losing my first few friends made me wanna cry almost.
Ana could already tell what happened. Her eyes became filled with water as she covered her face with her hands. I placed my hands on her shoulders. "Ana....I'm really sorry." I said. I hugged her and she hugged back. "I won't let anything happen to you. I promise." I said. She looked at me and nodded and whipped her face clean. "Let's eat." She said. I nodded and went into the kitchen. I found some recipes that I could use but they were too high of a cooking level for me to cook. "Hey Ana. Can you make this?" I asked. Ana walked over and looked at the recipe.
"This is easy for me to cook." Ana said. "So you have a high cooking level?" I asked. "Yeah. I cook all the time. I'll be done in a few minutes." Ana said. I went back in the living room to sit down. I looked through my inventory and decided to equip my trench coat. It made me feel warm and it somewhat lured me away from the thought of the rest of the guild dying. Ana walked in and sat next to me. "Aren't you cooking?" I asked. "Yeah. It's in the oven. I have a question." Ana said.
"What's up?"
"What's your level? Your true level." Ana said. I couldn't hide it anymore. I unmasked my level again and she took a good look at me. "You lied to me. You lied to our friends. You got them killed." Ana said. "I'm really sorry. I thought that if you knew my true level then you wouldn't accept me." I said. "Well...you're right. We might have accepted you then but now...you've lost your only friend." Ana said. She stood up and walked out. Then my menue popped up. A message said that Ana had un-friended me.
All I could do was hang my head. I not only lost my guild. I lost my only friend in SAO. It was horrible. I was alone again. All I could do was sit on the couch. I didn't want to move at all. "Damn it....I'm so dumb." I said. I looked at the corner of my eye and saw that the symbol that said that I was in a guild dissapeared. "I'm....alone..." I said. I stood up and walked outside to the forest. Locking the front door as I left. I sat under a tree. Wondering what my next move would be. I rested my head, trying to erase all of the bad memories from today. I was almost in a deep sleep until I heard a scream. A familliar scream. It was Ana.
"Ana!" I shouted. I stood up and ran towards the screams. I crouched behind a bush and saw two people standing before her. "Rumor has it that you are the last of the Silver Cresent. Time to erase your guild permanently." One of the men said. I saw Ana inch backwards. Her sword was in my reach. Her health bar was low. Almost in the red. I reached for her sword and jumped in front of her, blocking the mans blade. "She's not the only one." I said. "Josh." Ana said.
"He's a level 38. A beta!" The man said. He backed away from me with a terrified look on his face. "Fall back!" He shouted. Him and his men ran away and Ana stood up as I handed her sword back. "You're a beta tester?" Ana asked. I looked at Ana and nodded. She smiled and opened her menue. "What are you doing?" I asked. My menue beeped a second after I asked. It was a friend request and a party request. "Let's start over." Ana said. I smiled and she smiled back. "Let's go home." I said.
