Here, my soul feels most at peace.
Comfort from the blue misty sea.
Moonlight dances across it's waters,
and I'll always remember,
even though everyone else forgot her.
She was just like, my beloved dear ocean
She was crazy, yet calm,
she could create quite a commotion.
She was soft and gentle,
yet so strong, and so bold
As I sit by the sandy tide,
I remember the stories she told.
She had such imagination,
and a very bright mind.
I remember the days,
when we'd walk by the ocean side.
She'd collect sea shells,
string them into a necklace.
At the time, I thought it was silly
perhaps even useless.
But now, everyday, as I gaze at deep blue,
that necklace is my lucky charm,
it's purple in hue.
I remember when she'd,
sing of lost mermaids.
But that very song,
Became such a heart ache.
And as I fall asleep,
I'll dream of through night,
The one I long for,
And her ocean blue eyes.
