Alexander Hamilton x |sister| Reader (pt 2)

Picking up from where we left off.

Angelica had just given her speech, and you went up to talk to her.

"That was a lovely speech, Angelica." You said, handing her a drink. She smiled, and took it.

"Thank you, (y/n). Go, have fun. Peggy is around here somewhere. She better be, anyways." She said,

You laughed, and did as she said. Peggy was talking to someone, and was great full when found her.

"I don't think I could've continued the conversation any longer. I was running out of things to say." She said.

The two of you acted like little kids most of the time. You ran around, shoving sweets in your mouth. Sure, a couple of adults gave you questioning looks, but it was worth it. Soon enough, someone distracted you from your fun.

"Uh, I'll just be over there..." Peggy said, wandering over to Angelica.

You turned around, and John was standing behind you.

"Would you like to dance?" He asked. You smiled, and he took your hand.

"S-sure." You said, as the two of you walked out onto the floor.

Many other people were dancing, amongst them were Alexander and Eliza.

"I'm not a very good dancer." You admitted, figuring it was better to embarrass yourself early on.

"Well, neither am I." He responded, smiling. It made you blush a bit.

Time passed, and it came to a point where all of the guests were heading home. You and Peggy started to clean up, making work easier for everyone else. Once again, John interrupted you.

"I'm so sorry, Peggy." You apologized. She shrugged, and told you it was ok.

"Um, I want to tell you something." John said, rubbing the back of his neck. You blushed, and looked down.

"Oh, alright." You said, blushing even harder.

"I just wanted to say, that I really like you. I might even love you. And, the four years I've known you you've  made me happier. And, this is ki-" You cut him off.

"I love you too." You said, looking up. He smiled, and so did you. Then, he kissed you. And you kissed back.

The two of you were interrupted by someone clearing their throat. Surprised, the two of you jumped to see Angelica standing there.

"Well. Alexander was looking for you guys." She said, crossing her arms and laughing. "Come on, you two. I won't tell anyone." She said, beckoning you back inside.

It had been a while since Eliza and Alexander got married. They had moved out of the Schuyler house, and into their own place not too far away. You, however, stayed in the Schuyler mansion. You and Peggy were the only unmarried people left. However, that wouldn't be true for long. Soon, you were marrying John Laurens.

"Have you finished moving all of your stuff?" Mrs. Schuyler asked, walking into your room. You nodded.

"Yes, I have. Thank you, so much for letting me stay here." You said, giving her a hug.
