A small contest!

Alright, so recently on Instagram I won an adoptable (My ig is GummiSplash btw) from Mr_Shiny_feathers (I hope that's their name) And I love the little bab! So I'm making a story about his race and journey and what not. It's going to be similar to Steven Universe and Voltron. Anywho, got a picture bellow of him, the art belongs to Mr_Shiny_Feathers and is NOT mine.

Anyway, I'll need characters for this series and of course, I'll ask you guys! So I'm going to link some reference photos bellow of various things for their species and add a little storyline. After that, there will be some forms! I encourage you to draw your own character for a better chance of getting in! 

^^ Those are tails, not all of them have tails but if they do they'll either be long or very short and stubby. Ignore the fangs. Also, tails are very uncommon so I don't think you should add one to the characters. Anyway, all these reference pics have nothing to do with the adoptable, they were made for the story and stuff. 

^^ They have fully articulated ears that can fold, flatten and turn around, they come in many shapes and sizes so don't worry! They can be big, long, short, stubby, pointed or squared. Also, some of this breeds tongues are longer for some reason. I dunno, no reason mentioning that, honestly. 

^^ Those are just some eyes, don't worry if you can't draw them or what not. Just wanted to include the fact that royals have a third eye, feel free to make royal oc's, just not an heir to the throne (Prince, Princess or other).

^^ Some shoddy paws. This species is really adaptable and can survive in most habitats, as long as there is a way to get air into their lungs and food into their mouth. They have webbed paws and gills, though gills usually lie flat and are hard to see. 

Other important facts - 

- Though the species can use he/her/she/him pronouns they don't strictly have two genders. Every single one of them is born with both female and male reproductive parts. Some choose to use they/them pronouns.

- Their skin is often a warm or soft color like shades of browns, tan, yellow, orange and grays. Their hair and markings are generally a darker color that isn't similar to the first/primary color of their skin. 

- All of them have splotch like markings scattered across their skin. They are in unique places and are the same color as their hair. 

- Tongues, eyes, and blood are their third color and can be anything as long as it's not a saturated color.

- They do not have breasts! Again, not strictly two genders. 

- They live in an advanced civilization with loads of amazing tech and inventions. Phones, psh, they have holographic calling devices. 

- Their species doesn't have a name yet so feel free to make up one? I guess? I think I'll use Latamia/Latamians for now.

- An earth year is half of a year on their planet, if a Latamian is 8 and a half Latamian years old they'd be 17 years old. 

- They have a larger brain compacity and longer lifespans than humans and are in school for a shorter period of time. 

- Gravity doesn't affect them, they remain the same posture and height regardless of what planet they're in.

- Most Latamians have last names that are deprived of old greek or latin words or gods. Thier first names are usually regular names.

Ok, that's about it, here's some info on the storyline and then the forms.

The protagonist of the story is Jayson Zephyrhills, aged 8 and a half Latamian years. He's just started attending an academy that is centered around space travel, inventions, and fighting. He wants to become a space cadet and conquer other planets since their space ships can travel to other galaxies and beyond in a matter of days due to the fact that their technology is very advanced. He meets his quirky roommate, Eli, who is the child of a rather important family who is close to royals. Eli is in the academy due to the fact that his parents paid quite a hefty amount of money for his learning. Eli breaks things, is rather snotty and perverted and likes partying. One night he ends up stealing an advanced spaceship since he was a pilot he knew how to fly it. He rounds up Jayson and some of their other friends and forms a makeshift crew, most of them getting drunk in the process, they wake up the next day in the ship, flying through nothing but stars. They have no idea where they are. A lot more will happen but I don't want to spoil too much.
