The ground shook. Esther Bright, a former Grand Protector, could sense that a great menace was approaching. It was The Ruin, banished thousands of years ago by the all-powerful Cultivator. With the Ruin, peace had no standing, and nothing could exist. Where it went, chaos and destruction followed. Esther knew what must be done. But first, she needed someone to do it, as she was old, and had almost none of her fighting spirit left. Someone with strength and courage beyond measure, who could defeat the Ruin once and for all. Esther needed someone, and she already had a certain someone in mind. All she had was hope, hope that this person could do this tremendous task, and hope that they would do it on time.
