Crystal's Pov: I kneel onto the ground and put Maya's head on my lap, trying to examine her and see what's wrong. Maya looks paler, her skin almost stark white. I push her eyelids back, eyes are still yellow from her shift but her pupils are dilated. Her wolf must be protecting her, keeping her alive for now, from whatever is happening. "Maya? Are you okay your looking a bit pale. Maya? MAYA!" I try shaking her from her stupor, as soon as she shows some response I try getting her to sit up, but she immediately tries to stand instead.

Maya starts to tumble backwards her eyes going blank. Running forward, I barely catch her in time before she hits the ground.

"Crap. Maya. He must be... he's dying. We must return as soon as possible. The heir of the werewolves is dying." I slowly start to panic, bile rising in my throat "And if she dies all werewolves will be in trouble." I say confidently hoping my voice wouldnt tremble.

"Then go ahead, run Princess Maya back to the castle. I'll lead them to the castle." A mysterious voice whispers in the shadows.

Counselor Jackson's Pov: "Then go ahead, run Princess Maya back to the castle. I'll lead them to the castle." I whisper almost silently, then walking out of the shadow's to show myself.

"Counselor Jackson..." Crystal starts with tears in her eyes daring to fall.

"Run. Maya and Oliver will not last much longer." I stay sternly while nodding to the young witch in affirmation.

Crystal nods. I watch as she tugs off the cord around her neck, revealing a whistle as it appears from beneath her shirt. Yanking it from around her neck and lifting the cool metal to her lips. After blowing into it, seemingly only a split second after the loud whistle shoots through the air, half way deafening me I might add, a beast comes forth out of nowhere. This beast is quite a rare beast indeed. A truly exoctic specimin...an Occamy. It's swirling snake like tail sending powerful winds in all directions, with its vibrant greens and blues shining on it's polished scales, and its large beautiful feathered wings. But most of all its power to control the weather around it. How in the world did this young witch, come to have a familiar this powerful.

"Thunder, it's been awhile." Raising her hand to settle upon the giant beast's beak "I need a ride, Maya's life depends on it." Crystal whispers to the great bird. I watch as Thunders head tilts to the side listening, then bowing his head, then resting itself to the ground.

"Thank you, Thunder. And thank you Counselor Jackson. I'll see you all soon." Crystal shouts out to us all before hefting Maya over onto it's back, then joining it herself.

Once aboard the big beast of a bird, Crystal clicks her tongue and they fly off into the sky, "Will fate be so merciful to allow them to reach their destination in time?" I wonder aloud to myself, tilting my head as I watch them fly out of sight.

I hum before turning back to the small crowd and clapping my hands once to retrieve their attention from the now empty sky "Okay everyone, eat and get some rest, we'll head out in a while." I say.

"But... w-what if t-they c-come for u-us." A young and frail boy questions quietly, eyes darting around as if those brutes will appear from the trees.

"Then I shall protect you all. I didn't come alone after all. A few of my pals are just scouting the area, and will keep their distance." I say. "There is no longer the need to worry, you all will be safe now, child."

Crystal's Pov: "We have to make it. We have to. Fly faster Thunder please. Maya's breathing is getting raspier." I choke out the small mantra while crying. We can't fail. We have to make it.

Thunder screeches loudly into the sky, then with the powers of the weather ability, using it to his advantage we go fast just like wind.

With the speed of the wind we flew through the sky like a bullet. I hold Maya tight against me and tighten my grip on Thunder's neck, piercing feathers stinging my face like ice cold needles. But before we all knew it, we're ramming into the castle's tower.

Thunder screeches loudly in disdain after smashing into such a halt, for everyone around to hear. As we fall to the ground. Also while leaving a nice sized dent in the castle's highest towers side....

As Thunder attempts to regain control, using all the strength he had left. We flew barely inches from the ground but crash landing on the surface. Thunder collapses, wings weakly falling beside him, exhausted and unable to get back up.

"Crystal? Maya?" The king and Queen yell. "Get medical help stat! MOVE PEOPLE!"

"Thunder... Maya..." I whisper out, my voice raspy and throat taught. My head is pounding and my thoughts are in swirls, I begin to see spots before my vision goes completely black.

How'd I do? Thoughts? Ideas? I love to hear others ideas.- Catmaster
