Chapter One

Henry Hart
Henry couldn't believe how long it's been since he first became Kid Danger. Two years ago he was just a regular everyday kid going through the same routines as any other teenager. Two years ago he had a normal life.

Henry had been thirteen when he went job hunting. He found a job working at Junk 'n' Stuff but the job offer turned out to be a front for Captain Man, who was searching for a sidekick. Henry loved Captain Man so of course he jumped at the opportunity to become his sidekick and work with him.

And now two years later Henry was fifteen and still fighting crime with Ray Manchester and his two best friends, Charlotte and Jasper. And let's not forget Schwaz, the quirky but funny scientist assistant for Ray.

At the moment Henry was sitting in History class, the last one before the end of the day, listening to his teacher give a lecture on the Trojan Horse. Honestly though, Henry was bored and he wanted out of the class as soon as possible. Henry glanced at his watch which read 2:48.

Two more minutes, Henry thought. I can do that.

Henry started to tap his foot impatiently because this was the longest two minutes ever. He glanced at his watch again and saw that one minute remained.

And then the bell rang. Henry jumped up, grabbed his bag and walked out into the hallway towards the front doors. Once outside he unchained his bike from the bike rack, got on and pedaled away from the school.

Henry had to go to work everyday after school and help Ray with whatever crime went on after dark. As he was pedaling he began to get the feeling that he was being followed and he decided to take a detour. Henry went a complicated route by taking back roads and main streets to get to his job.

When he arrived at Junk 'n' Stuff, Henry strolled inside and rushed to the elevator. He hit the yellow button and the elevator plunged down.

The elevator doors opened revealing the Man Cave. Charlotte and Jasper were already there with Ray and when Henry stepped out of the elevator Ray looked up.

"What took you so long?" Ray asked.

Henry shrugged. "I thought I was being followed so I took the long complicated way here."

Charlotte glanced up from her phone. "Followed?"

Henry nodded his head slightly. "Yeah but I've been feeling weird all day."

Ray had a thoughtful look on his face and was silent for the next couple seconds. "How do you feel now?"

Henry shook his head. He knew how he felt but wasn't sure if he should tell Ray what he was feeling. Charlotte and Jasper looked at him, waiting for an answer.

"Something's coming." Henry paused, then added, "Something bad."
