We had eaten lunch and were just chilling when his phone went off. A lot. His sister was spam texting him, wanting to know all the details about the past year. They talked a lot, but not about us because he didn't know how she would take it. His parents won't talk to him. He says he doesn't care but I know he does and it makes me sad.

"We should go visit them."

"Why?" He looked at me.

"They're still my parents, Ty." Josh said quietly.

"I know. But they haven't replied to you in a year."

"Yeah, and I miss them. We aren't fighting about this here." I rolled my eyes. "You're the one who gets to see your loving parents whenever you want."
