Marnie had arrived home and the house was completely quiet. She snuck up the partially carpeted stairs and down the hall to her room. The door was closed but she could see a ray of golden light leaking from the bottom of her door, letting her know that Jai was in there. Marnie didn't know if she was asleep or not so she opened the door carefully, only to be silently attacked by Jai, wanting to know every detail. Marnie smiled widely and in an excited whisper she tried to calm down Jai even though she wanted to be incredibly loud and excited.

"Marnie, tell me what happened! Tell me, tell me, tell me!" Jai greeted.

"Okay, okay, but shh!" Marnie said, stepping completely into the room, setting down her purse and closing the door behind her. She kicked off her shoes and headed to her bed.

"So, we couldn't do anything while his teammates were in the car with us, and I didn't know what exactly was going to happen so I was really anticipating anything. After we dropped them off, we headed to the lake where he parked and we were all over each other."

"Obviously, you're purple everywhere! Did you attack him or something?!" Jai asked, investigating the extent of the damage done.

"You should have seen the other guy," Marnie joked.

"Honey, I need details!"

"Fine! We got like half naked and we just breathed into each other, Jai. He's got this big scar from a really bad accident that goes across his chest, going from the front of his left shoulder down his peck and ends at about his sternum and I went for that as well as the front of his throat."

"You've got the weirdest hickey, my girl. I've literally never seen anything like that, is it under your chin?!"

"Yes, Jai, don't make fun of me!"

"I'm not, I'm not." She defended. "What do you think things are going to be like when you see him next?"

"Honestly, I don't know." Marnie answered, taking her clothes off from the day and getting ready to head to the bathroom to take a shower before she slipped into her pajamas.
