Yuki walked slowly through the woods, her scarf clutched tightly around her neck and pulled up to cover her mouth and nose. Blayne had told her where and when to meet... apparently he had a surprise for her, but she had no idea what it could be. They where in the woods for petes sake. He knew she was upset over the stress university had been giving her and the fact she had her long term boyfriend, Zack, had recently broken up, leaving her heart broken. Blayne had been trying to comfort her the past month and a half, but she was still devistated.
As she finally reached the clearing he had told her she would find, she bit on her lower lip and pushed a few branches to the side before a small gasp escaped her lips. Blayne had set up a fort with big cushions and bean bags inside along with candles dotted all around, like a walk way from the lake up to the fort. Fairy lights hung from the cavas fort covering, a projector sat to one side, already shining the opening to Yuki's favorite film, Nick and Norah's Infinate Playlist, playing against the waterfall in front of them.
"Yuki!" Blayne grinned as he saw her approach, rishing to his feet he walked over to her and pulled her into a hug.
"Blayne... What is all this?" Yuki replied as she bit her lip and smiled shyly. "This looks so beautiful... did you do this all on your own?" she asked shocked as she looked up at him and blushed a faint shade of red.
"Of course I did... I wanted to do something special for you" he replied as he laced his fingers with hers before leading her to the den. Leading her all the way into the fort he got her to settle down into the larger of the bean bags, before opening a cooling box and pulling out two champagne flutes, a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Opening the bottle he poured some into each glass before he passed one to Yuki with a smile.
"I want to see you happy again..." he muttered as he took a sip with her and then picked up a strawberry, holding it to her lips as she took a bite slowly and blushed harder.
"This is so perfect, Blayne. Thank you" she said softly as she took a strawberry and held it to him to eat.
After a few more strawberries each, Blayne walked out to set up the film, getting it to play before sitting back with her and the pair cuddled up together with the blankets, keeping themselves warm and comfy. Yuki had removed her shoes and lay them at the entrance to the fort before her attention moved to the movie.
Blayne had come prepaired, with a couple of movies for the two to watch together and by the time the third film ended, it was 3am and Yuki had fallen asleep in among the mass of pillows and blankets and bean bags, making Blayne smile. She looked so peaceful there, but he knew he had to get her home.
Standing above her, he scooped her up carefully into his arms before he leaned down and picked up her shoes, walking back to his car which was parked off in the distance. After she was in the back, he pulled out his phone and called his friend, Aaron.
"Hey mate..." he started, but Aaron already knew where the conversation was going.
"She fell asleep? I'll be down in 10, I'll sort it all out for you, I hope she liked your little surprise" Aaron replied and Blayne could almost hear the smile on Aaron's lips.
"She loved it, thanks again for agreeing to clean up, I'll come and help as soon as I get her into bed." Blayne finished before the two said their goodbyes and hung up.
Jumping in the drivers side, Blayne started the engine and drove home, since it was closer than Yuki's was, he decided it would be easier... she had been sleeping over almost every night anyway, so why not? Getting her out and into his room was simple, getting her into the bed and under the covers was simple. But trying to get away proved difficult, Yuki's tiny, pale hands where balled up on his shirt, trying to keep him close by her as she slept and it took all his will power not to just curl up with the adorable female and sleep.
Finally he got himself free and left her with a stuffed panda toy as he headed out and back to the clearing to help clean everything up and take it all back.
Am I the only person who really wants a date like this?
