You promise you'll mend your way
But every single time you shatter my trust Can I really trust the words you say?
You tell me you're a changed man now
Not the scoundrel you once were
Yet there is something in your eyes
Which makes me quite unsure
You broke my heart and my trust
You threw my dignity away
All I felt was worthless, numb
You're behind the scars I have today
I once thought I had it all
But I lost everything loving you
By giving you another chance
I'll end up losing myself too.

I have read so many instances of abusive relationships and it pains my heart just by imagining the situation. Never ever sacrifice your worth for someone who you think will change. Your self respect lies above everything else. Please get out of an unhealthy relationship before its too late and do not hesitate to reach out for help.
