The Boy with a Fruit Plucker

Through my window, I see
A boy - face grave, next house.
Deep lively concentration
Has he devoted to his work.

His hands deal a fruit plucker
And his eyes lock a fruit.
The tree is indeed tall.
And the fruit is hanging high.

Expressions of a grown-up man,
Does the little boy imitate:
'One more swish and the fruit is down.'
Waiting to give out the 'eureka'-yell.

But, Oh my dear! Pity, it is:
He swishes it strong, but,
The plucker and the fruit is far afar.
Poor boy, he won't taste the eureka.

How was it?
